JaysonWeber 0
My latest lesson would probobly be isolation... I've been working on isolating with hands from position, You can;'t do this @ micro tables, but been working on it @ 2/4 and its actually a very handy tool, I also need to start working on a more solid Limit HU game.I'm ussually pretty solid but I know there are a lot of players out there who are better than me, Just dropped 50 to a guy on superior poker headsup at 2/4... only a 12.5 BB downswing but... Its still 50 bucks and I could blame it on cold cards, but I think even with cold cards I shouldn't have lost THAT much.I guess I just need to do a little reasearch on it, anyone have any good information for HU Limit play? RISINGSHARK 0
Not to play when I am really, really tired or when I am very drunk !
Dixie Wrecked 0
I have the problem of making "crying calls," when I'm pretty sure I'm beat but still call the last bet. This last time I did it, it cost me about $20 in a .10/.25 NL game. I had pocket Aces and there were two 5's on board and I just knew the guy had a 5 and I was right. It reminds me of when DN, Freddy Deeb, and Ted Forrest were playing and DN tells Freddy Deeb I think you have A9 (A9 gave Deeb a straight I think) but I call. And DN was right but lost the hand. So, Ted Forrest tells him it's one thing to read hands correctly but another to know what to do with it.I know sometimes it's correct to call because the pot is so big and pot odds, etc. but I know I do it incorrectly sometimes. Devilkin 0
Playing QQ/JJ. Raised preflop, had a caller or two after me, so Im betting first. Twice now in tourney play, Ive receive both of these hands, and seen rags flop.In both situations, I bet, and was raised by one of the players after me. Thinking they had TPTK, I reraised, and when they went all in, I thought I had them. Burned by KK and AA in each of these situations.Ive learned to respect a reraise, especially when I hold an overpair.Dev
Guest
to tie my shoelaces! me big frog nowIt is funny that you say that. Are you Gus Hansen? When I was staying/playing at Bellagio in Nov. I met Gus at the cage. His shoe was untied. I had a brief conversation with him and told him his shoe was untied. He looked down and said "Eh. No big deal."Is that you Gus? It is obvious to me that you think you are good because you have 2000+ posts. What is your bankroll?Your stats?Up $100,000 this year are you?Does insulting someone make you feel like you are better?Quite frankly I would enjoy a game of HU NL against you.I will start my play again on May 1st.Up for it?Stop the flaming. DN hates it.

21gambit 0
I see myself as a luigi(mario is a fatty, and that aint me) in the poker world. Constantly squashing turtles and every now and then battling koopas along with a few hammer bros along the way, until I make it to my princess(200K). Sometimes I dress up like luigi and eat pasta while I play to make the feeling more real, it definitely puts me on my A game.

Fourhead 0
I'm in Sweden (EST+6 hours). Getting up early on saturdays and sundays has turned out to be a really valuable routine. I'm fresh and awake and everybody else is tired and/or drunk, it seems. Tables are full of tilting fish trying to win back what they've lost.
rocksquid 50
When sitting at the four man table with nine players going for the eight spots on the final table, playing hand for hand, and two of the four players at your table go all in, get out of the way and take the spot at the final table. I ended up calling an all in bet with A6c against A5s and Q's, and had I folded and let one of those two guys get knocked out, I move to the final table and add a couple hundred to the prize. But I got careless. So, my advice is to thoroughly explore all of your options, then act accordingly.
justblaze 0
Lesson #1: AJ is garbage. you wont get action unless you are beat. Lesson #2: when players have <5BB and raise/reraise, they often are steaming away chips with rags. when facing heavy aggression in a limit ring game, make a note of how much the villain has in his stack. if it seems inevitable he will be all in by the end of the hand, his aggression is likely due to tilt (or he somehow feels 'pot committed') as opposed to being representative of strength.
