Curious to see the superstitions of the FCP crew.I don't have any object that is particularly lucky but I have noticed something strange.Whenever I'm playing cards and there's a girl I'd like to bone but it is highly unlikely to happen (for whatever reason) then I always seem to win and usually it's a big score.But whenever there's a girl I've already slept with in the room I get destroyed on the felt.Is there any psychological explanation or is it just a strange coincedence?

I pretty much just try to keep my routine the same when I'm running well, and try to change things up when things aren't going so well.

I have a stupid one.No good luck charms, no real superstitions, except one time i was in a live game and in a bad position like UTG or UTG+1 , i called out in my head what type of hand i think i'm gonna get here,(KK). I had a odd eerie feeling i was gonna look down and see KK. Anyways, I looked and it was in fact KK, and its grossed me out, cuz then i was like. I'm gonna lose a lot here and i know it.sounds kinda made up, I know. but anyways, I ended up all in preflop vs AA.actually, I'm an idiot.I just realized i have all kinds of stupid things i do.1 - playing live, i always put the 2nd dealt card on top, in omaha, same thing, in order as 1st dealt card on bottom.- Then i always look at the bottom card 1st as i peek.2 - I also will never ever ever wear my orange FCP hat, live or online, I have never had a winning session while wearing it, so i stopped.3 - i always stack y chips from smallest to largest left to right. if the same denomination in mulitple stacks, i put the higher stack to the right if they are uneven.

haha...I knew someone would try that. I'd be pretty happy to frequently be sitting in games with hot girls. There aren't many girls in poker and the ones that are there are rarely worth looking at.

I used to wear the same sweatpants and Red Wings jersey when I used to play the 11:30 $5.50 MTT on PR last year. Everytime I did I either won or made it to the FT. Sadly they stopped running it. I like to rub the cards on the felt while I wait for my turn. I started to do that when I was playing at Casino Windsor and I took a huge beat and the guy next to me told me to rub them and that will turn them into Aces and I can get my money back, so I did and when I looked down...AA.

I was, sadly i kept up with the boards for the last 2 weeks. How pathetic eh, my buddy was there for work so he had a laptop.is it offensive to walk around china with a shirt that says "lookin for my yellow belt"?

I Used to wear the same boxers when I played in live tournaments...(yes they were washed before each one) Then when I went to play in the Main Event I did really bad and threw them away. Maybe someone from the Rio cleaning crew kept them?

I have to have at least one marshmellow in my last bite of lucky charms. It is just bad karma to only have the ceral pieces in the last bite.On really good days i will save a few marshmellows and have a marshmellow only last bite. Man i miss being a kid!!!!!!!!!!!

You want some analysis...the hot girl makes you play your A game as you feel you will impress her and thereby have relations with said girl due to your phenomenal poker skills. If there is a chick that you have already boned there you are preoccupied trying to judge how entertaining she was to concentrate.Or perhaps you are wondering why she is with that goofy looking guy then wondering if you are also goofy looking and trying to determine if others thought the same when you were with her.That will be $250

See...the thing about the shirt is that it's kind've funny for you 'cause you're in China and your a white guy right? It's particularly funny 'cause it's you Royal.But to all the Chinamen in China they'll get a kick out of it too because they'll think you're trying to be cool but they'll see you as a dorky white tourist.It'll only be offensive to the overzealous north american Chinese person.

I have a little Thai gemstone buddah carving (about 1.5" tall) that I keep around my computer or in my pocket in live games. I think it's all used up though after I had three big wins in september ($2k win in a party ministep, and two $1100 live MTT wins).

I just try to think really positive before a game. I imagine looking down at good hole cards, think about the feeling of taking down pots. I stack my chips pretty anally also. In little pyramids of 10 or 20 high, whichever makes the amounts easier to count out quickly. I do have a couple of nice shirts I like to alternate wearing. I like dressing halfway nice while playing. I bet everyone thinks I only own 2 shirts.

when in a poker game, if im after a big-raise pre-flop, and a friend(a specific friend) guesses my hand, i fold. he is folded, and although i didnt ask him he jokingly says "oh he has A-J..." and...i usually fold because A) the raise was giant, so im at least against a decent pocket pair or...a hand similar to mine.. everytime he has called it, i have folded AND WOULD HAVE LOST. these werent total garbage hands. k-j, A-q...i folded JJ one time.

Since it's always freezing cold in most cardrooms throughout LA and Vegas I always where my "poker sweater". It's just a standard Grey "zip-up" sweater but after so many hours at the poker table with I've begun to think of it as my playing sweater. Recently I have invested in a new sweater and I alternate between the two.I too also put the 2nd dealt card on the top. Sometimes look at the 1st card before I'm dealt the second card and then wait until it's my turn to look at the second card. Also when looking at the second card I will sometimes slowly peel the card back sideways to see if it's a blank, 2 across, 3 across, 4 across or a picture (keeps the long nights some what interesting).I will also typically start out with my stacks being in 30 or 40 chip stacks and then rearrange them as the night goes on. I almost never color up my chips to $100 chips regardless of how big my stack is. I will however make change for other players at the table who have $100 chips and need to color down. Also, I rarely keep $100 bills on the table, especially if I have sold chips to another player or if they are won in a pot. I always color them up.

i noticed a tell i had, and it became a superstition: I used to shuffle my two cards every time i had a pair (both layed flat on the felt, just swishing them around), otherwise i would put the bigger card on top...now i just have a superstition that i HAVE to shuffle my cards no matter what they are at least two times.
