What % Of Your Time Do You Spend...

Recommended Posts

Im just curious as to what % of your poker playing time you spend playing online vs. live play. Do you wish one percentage was higher or lower? Discuss.Id say I play online about 70% and live 30%....hopefully itll turn to something like 10% to 90% soon.

Man, live poker is such a waste of time, in terms of opportunity cost.Online poker is so much more efficient.I used to play LHE live a lot when I didn't have any cash, and I could get a stake real easy down at the casino. It just takes way too long to play enough hands to find a true winrate. When you run poorly, you run like **** for months!Seriously.Playing 15x more hands/hour online is much better.Even if you have to play a bit lower to match the skill level. However, I know you play tourneys, and live tourneys are sweet.Either way, cash games, I'm online 100% of the time, and live when I want to have a social night out.- Zach

Exactly how I feel man, I mean sure online can probably be more profitable for cash games. However, I find myself winning much more live (cash and tournaments), not to mention having alot better of a time. However, the internet poker just sucks you in "Im so easy, play me, you don't have to go anywhere, ill always be at your place"...Internet poker is like a cheap hooker, who becomes obsessed with you and never wants to leave. Like ya its easy, you can get it any time you want. Problem is, its bad for you (the hooker has an STD or two)...but its so easy!Ok this is getting weird...you know what I mean though.Say no to hookers, say no to online poker.

Right now, 90 percent online and 10 percent live. But I'm moving to philly soon, and I'll be playing in AC 4 or 5 days a week. I'm really pumped. As for the win rate, I really think that the play is so much worse at the limits that I play, that it's better for me to play less hands. Plus, I have a tendency to lose focus online. Double plus, the games are so loose passive that I can play tons of hands which is always good.

Live 95%, online 5%. IF THAT. I just started to get into the whole online phenomenon, there's a lot of online playing I'd have to do before I put in enough hours to catch up to my live playing.

online play is for poker pussies :club:
You can't four table live.I have only played live once. I liked it, but...It's too slowThe casino is too far awayI get bored very quickly only playing 20 hands an hourAnd, like I said, you can't play enough tables live

90-10 live I am a good cash game player, I would prefer to play more on line but I suck at it. The style of play is so different, plus my best skill is reading people so I'm SOL. The ability to play with now wait is the biggest draw. So if you see me on-line get in because I'm the donkey. DA BEARS

I'm trying to play more live poker because it's fun and profitable and the casino is only a half hour away from me now. That said, I probably still play 80-90% of my hands online and maybe 75% in terms of time.
