Recommended Posts

I just thought of it after seeing Prahlad just take down over 50k when his JJ flopped a full house against acesI remember someone mentioning a 300k pot onlineSo, Either online or live what the biggest pot you've either been involved in or seen. Intrest in the live responses seeing as some may come from Live at the Bike

Who cares what pot you've "Seen"... big whoop, I"ve seen a $200,000+ pot (or whatever it was) on High Stakes Poker. But so have a million others. So, let's just talk about what we've been INVOLVED in.. AT the table... DEALT IN.Mine that I was INVOLVED with, I ended up losing around $750 (had bought in for $200) in a $1600 pot when I flopped a set of jacks on a Js 8s 2s board. $1/2 blinds, I had raised to $20 preflop with 4 callers. Bet $75 postflop, called by one. Bet $200 on a "blank" turn, was called, and then checked the (blank) river, guy put me all in for $350... of course I was worried about a flopped flush but intended on calling no matter what, $600+ already in the pot, plus his $350 bet... so $350 to call $950 in pot... only had to be right (that he didn't have the flush) 35% of the time.Well he had AQ spades and broke me on that hand. I've since learned to slow down a little even with top set on a board like that. Rebought $200, built that up to $1900 over the next 8 hours, then the LAST HAND of the night (this was at Caesar's Indiana during the WSOP Circuit, they needed the table for the morning tourney)...I folded in this hand but short story is that FOUR people ended up all-in for around $350-500 each.... one guy flopped top set, another guy flopped open-end straight, and another guy flopped nut flush draw, the other guy flopped the Q-high flush draw. So, I think the pot ended up being $1950, the flush draw came (later we discussed it and myself and my friend both folded one of his flush outs, someone else claimed that he folded 2 suited cards of the same suit)... so effectively he hit either a 1 or 2 outer (since I think one of the leftover flush cards would have paired the board). So, the short answer... $1950 and around $1600, both on tables I was on.

I was at a live table a few weeks ago for this one...2-5 no limit...Player 1 raises $100 pre flop. Player 2 reraises to $300 total, player 1 callsFlop comes J rag rag. Player 2 bets $400. Player 1 calls.Turn comes rag. Player 2 goes all in for another $605. Player 1 calls.River comes ace. Player 2 turns over 99, player 1 turns over AK.Player 1 called over $1000 post flop with nothing but big slick, and gets rewarded with a $2600 pot.

I went all in with about a half million dollars (in tournament chips) against Michael Mizrachi. He called and had me covered. Click here for more: *****

One time, when I was searching for the El Dorado in South America. I came upon this one tribe. I cant remember the name, but those guys had a pot that was about 4 feet across at the opening, and I know it stood at least 3 feet tall. Could have been almost 6 feet across at the bottom. I must say, biggest damn pot I ever saw.

What was your paper about?? I am being serious. I just finished up a 15 page paper on Stenka Raizin. A Russian rebel from the old days. I have to turn it in next week. Still have a few things to fix in it yet.

I saw about a 60k pot at Caesar's Indiana when I went down there for a night. Game was PLO but I'm unsure of the stakes. I think 2 people were all-in and two other guys had most of their stack committed. It was something sick like nut straight v nut straight w/ low flush redraw v nut flush draw v naked AA...or, at least that is what I could gather from the rail. The guy with AA ended up winning when the board trip'ed up on the river. He was screaming at the board to pair...and then pair again...and when it actually happened, I thought most of the people at the table would puke all over themselves.

Biggest pot I have played in 15/30 LHE shorthanded (4 players at table). I have KK in big blind, UTG raises, Button Calls, SB Calls, I reraise, UTG reraises and both Button and SB call. I reraise again and UTG raises and I cap the pot. We take the flop 4-handed and it comes down 8 :D 9 :D k :club: . I figure I will bet out since pot is already large and I do not want to give draws any free shots. UTG calls, Button raises, and SB Reraises! I figure one of them has a set so I reraise to make any draws pay dearly. UTG folds and Button and I continue to raise each other to cap the pot. Turn is a harmless 3 :D and I fire out again and button raises. Once again we fire back and forth with each other until it is capped (SB is calling each raise). The river is a 9 and I just know in my gut I am up against quads. SB checks, I check, and Button bets, SB raises and I call. Even if I am up against quads I can not justify throwing my hand away for $60 into a pot of over $1k when only 99 beats me. Button reraises and SB and I call. Button shows quad 9s and SB shows 88 for Full House 8s full of 9s and I show my Ks full of 9s. Button hit 1-outer on me for a $1,200 pot. Every player played the hand correctly in my opinion with the exception of the SB reraise on the river. Not the largest pot by the standards laid out before me but a MONSTER pot in 4-handed LHE 15/30.Biggest pot I played was in NLHE 5/10 blinds for $9k. Once again 4 players are involved. Once again I have KK, spare the details, but all 4 players end up all in preflop. I have $2.5k and the other stacks range from $2k to $3k. One player shows QQ other player shows AA and final player shows AK so I drawing to one out preflop. Of course the board comes 10,j,q and AK goes worst to first. Turn and river brick off and AK scoops the $9k pot. Oh yea and this was a live game in a B&M casino, so much for online being rigged!
