jack24bauer24 0
I play online for most of my NL action, at least when I'm playing 9 handed, usually at 10-25 cent up to 50 cent-dollar limits. I like having aces the most in the big blind, as online you find people will hang in there with anything and raise with any decent hand, so I'm looking to really pop someone who's got some money invested, as most players online don't like to throw away a decent hand.Against players I know, or in a tournament, I'd like them on the button obviously. Metaphysician 0
Like them in the big blind... with 9 people moving all-in in front of me.
JaysonWeber 0
At the table I play at, I always sit in a good position so i've learned to semi-slow play the aces, much more than I would at a table in a casino or with people I don't know, so for me I guess on the button is ALWAYS best, but beyond that, big blind can be good, because once a month I'll protect my blinds hard and that gives the illusion that I do this more than I do, so I can re-raise on big-blind with aces, and if one of the 2 big betters is still in the hand it can get profitable... Munky 0
I don't care where I am when I'm dealt AA, as long as there's someone in front of be raising the pot.
looshle 6
I don't know the BEST position to have AA, but I love having it UTG, especially online, because everyone is addicting to raising before the flop. I play $1/$2 , and many times, I will limp in under the gun, have someone else raise it to like $10 - 12, and depending on my stack size either go all in or raise it a good amount, you'd be suprised by the amount of times you will get called. theresa113 0
I always go all in with AA pre flop. I don't care if all I get are the blinds or if I take 2 opponents out. I have tried playing AA otherways and it never works out. I have always won with AA when I do the all in pre flop move. Once, being very short stacked, I went all in with AA. I had 4 callers and they kept betting. I got another Ace on the flop, everyone else had 1 pair and I took the main pot! Trust me, they didn't expect that I would have a set of aces! I am sure there is a more expert way of playing AA, but so far, this is the only way that it has worked for me. EgyptianMagician 0
Heh if you always just move all-in with aces you'll never get callers if your opponents are smart :PAnyway.. in a heads up pot I'll take small blind.. can't think of many flops where I won't check aces heads up and easily get action by top pair. In a family pot I want to be on the button so it can get checked to me and I can make a 'position bet' and get raised or called by marginal hands thinking I'm trying to steal the pot. Dr_Shakes 0
Any position but i couldn't disagree more with the person who said he wants 9 people all in front of him. The odds of the aces holding up are a lot lower than you might think. I think that would be a disastrous for aces.
foodbanker 0
I've given this some thought...Its all pretty even. But if, I really had to choose one position, it would have to be the Small Blilnd.I dont' feel like starting any crazy debates on this..so I'm not going to explain.Basically, the reasoning is that all the money is already in and in the small blind, in NL game..you really have allot of options to work with. Â The odds of the aces holding up are a lot lower than you might think. Â I think that would be a disastrous for aces. Not sure, but I think he meant he wants 9 people to have the option of moving all in, the more people with the option the better the odds he'll get action. If I get 2 all ins before me and I have AA, I call but I'm nervous. Three, I still call expecting to lose.OK, I'll help revive the thread, lol
grimtaash 0
I want pocket aces right after the player with pokcet kings.
Loismustdie 0
I want pocket aces right after the player with pokcet kings. Yep. This is always a dumb question- I will take aces in any position and find a way to play them, I do not really care where. I do tend to win more with them in the BB though- no one expects that I have them, especially in tourney situations.

Got half my money in pre-flop kk vs. his pocket aces. Took the rest on a flop of kqq....yet another reason to never feel bad about getting all in with kings

I pushed my entire stack (~$90) UTG, and everyone folded to the button who called me with AKo. Of course the board then puts out 4 hearts and he is holding the Kh and i am left with my two black aces.
