its also possible that half the time in that spot i have the best hand going into the flop.

Half the time? Against one player, maybe. Not against 2

and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

i'm only concerned about the one with more money than me. the guy all in with 57 is of no concern.

i thought second raiser was all in for 57? so we know he's not coming back over the top and his range could be as wide as AXo. sa has implied odds of 8.7 to 1 if he flops a set with an 8.5 to 1 chance of doing so. against a donk filled table and assuming i have the discipline to let it go if i whiff the flop. i think it's not terrible, marginal but not terrible.

edit

upon further reflection if this table was like some i saw the last time a played, all in could have a range as wide KQs easily. they play it like video poker. hang on to them 2 suited face cards so they can hit the royal and win a hand bonus.

The $57 all in call was easy. I agree you're more than likely ahead pre flop. It was the people left to act that Ronnie didn't like. And, really, he's right about you getting lucky hitting your 2 outer.

If my regular internet goes down I just use my cell phone as a hot spot. It's freaking 2014 for crying out loud!

I need to come up with a plan for dinner. There's a good grocery store nearby with a great sale on meat going so I think I'll run down there and see what jumps out at me. Definitely making cowboy baked beans though.

maybe. but i had 500 on the table and he had 700. i know if i call and flop a 7 i can win his whole stack because he is going to overplay any pair. i said to myself, if i call, when it get backs to him he will shove with a big pair and just call with AK. i easily fold if he shoves.

against a lot of players i fold in that spot, but against that guy, i felt it more likely i could get paid if i hit. so i made the call.

I'm not a NLHE guy, so I'm just making this up while looking at it, but:

Tbh, I'm not even sure I like this call if you close the action. It's like 12% of your stack, and even with the max implied odds, and while you're right around 12% to hit, you are not winning every time that happens. It's razor thin, even ignoring the fact that he acts last and will jam you with almost all the distributions you are hoping to trap.

i got lucky, absolutely. but i put myself in that position because i knew the guy was a donk who could ship me his stack with just an overpair. i felt the 60 was worth it for that chance. and its also possible i had the best hand.

on my way back to get lucky again.

Yeah, but you don't have enough money on the table for the double up to be profitable, even if he always ships and loses when you hit.

Edit: I think. It's been a while since I did mental poker math.

How do you play the Kings post flop? If you're him

And for the love of fck, take those profits and get a whore. It will be so awesome.

Right, but if he has an overpair, why wouldn't he ship before the flop? Like you got lucky he's dumb. The hands that you can stack after the flop, should be shipping before the flop.

Also, there are scare cards for many of those hands, that will kill his action. AA not so much, but KK shuts down if there's an Ace, QQ shuts down if there's an Ace or king..

If the guy calls pre with two overs, like AK or KQs or something, he has to hit one of those AND you have to hit your 7, to get action.

All in all, I think it's an easy fold.

You know my forum title "Forum Entitlist" comes from ron calling me entitled because I was asking DN to award the prizes he had for a promotion, 6 months after that promotion was over. We've come a long way, baby.

Sorry Ronny I'm not gonna do that. Not worth the risk.

I am back at the casino though. Waiting to get in a game. Taking a shit actually, which is nice and should free me up to play relaxed and well.
