blakheart 3
Hopefully, you have figured out who that tightest player is. Literally steal EVERY one of his big blinds this level (odds are there are 2 or 3). I just reread this part- and the light bulb went off. The challange for me lately hasd been navigating from 3 tables in- I believe this is the key piece of the puzzle.
strategy 4
Try to remember to check the field in your tournament before you register for the next few weeks.Supposedly they're having a competition on pocketfives: whoever has the most TLB points for this month or whatever gets $5k I believe. I'm too lazy to look up the link, but suffice it to say that the $22 180-person and $55 90-person tournaments will be slightly tougher for a little while.Edit - LOL My brother just e-mailed me this link on p5s... throwemaway 0
Nope, don't worry, the last 3 of these I've played I've busted out 25th, 25th and 45th all by horrendous beats by pure donkeys..the last one really stuck it in hardBlinds 300/600UTG +1 raises to 1200MP calls 1200Hero raises all in, 10,500 w/ QQUtg + 1 calls with KJ heartsFlop: Kxx, of courseIt was for all his chips as well, he had like 600 left....Point is, if you stick to the strategy guide, eventually it is going to pay off...Somoene opened raises for 150 at 15/30 and I had AA in the sb and jammed it for about 2K and he called w/ ace 10..These things are filled with donkeys, so just hope your good hands hold up, play a good TAG style and you will be in great shape

strategy 4
Thank Jeff, he was the one who mentioned it to Theresa.Yeah, I'm pretty great.Just a little heads up. On Sundays, they have a $25+2 MTT on WPX that draws about 180 people. It's a $5k guaranteed tournament, so it's worth your time to deposit and try it out. WPX tournaments are full of gambly idiots... add in some overlay and you have an awesome tournament for people looking to build a bankroll.

bascomeb 0
Sooo just curious, if you are "crushing" these sit and gos, what would be a good ROI % for these? Has anyone played a lot of these and kept track? I've only played 17 of these so far so my ROI% is obviously not very accurate to long term results

I know therrinn's has dropped a bit lately, but I assume it is still in the 100% range.
bascomeb 0
oh man just took down my second one. So far out of 19 of them I've lost 17 of them and won the other 2. ROI is 422%! Zach6668 513
I just won my first baby!I don't play them that often, but I've also got a 5th place.I've played (total guess), maybe 15-20 of these in my life, including the $4.40s, and I've got a few cashes in those as well.I kinda like these - Zach

The fact that you can get it all in here shows what a gold mine these things are.Plan on playing a lot of these this September
ROGUE06 0
Lots of good strategy and tips in here. I've had some decent success in these things but still lacking that one huge cash. Played about 15 of these and got a 5th, 6th, and 9th aswell as missing the final table 2 other times. Overall I think these things are huge cash cows and I eagerly awaiting when I can catch some cards at the final tables of these things.

I usually play the $4 which are extra-fishy and cash enough for positive ROI (including one 1st). I FTd in the one $20 I played (for 7th). Sticking with the $4s until I build my BR a bit.Would love to see Stars add $10 180 SnGs.

Definetly need to play a couple soon.
ajs510 122
I've noticed more and more people playing these and posting questions about them. Since they are my primary livelihood...I'm curious about this statement in particular. I FT'd one of these last night (in no small part thanks to this guide and a lot of lucky breaks) and I can't understand how anyone could hope to make a living off of them. It took nearly four hours for the tournament to be over (I finished 5th), so I'm wondering how you can get enough hands in to really make some decent money? Are you multitabling them? Or just plugging away, one at a time? I would think that playing a lot of $50-100 SNG's would be more profitable, simply because they don't take as long and you can play more of them...Just curious, because I see a lot of people around here absolutely swearing by these 180 tournaments and I wonder how they're making them work for them. The exception would be if I made it to the last two tables, where I would then stop registering for new ones so as to be able to devote more attention at the ft. Doint this, 20-25 dollars an hour is a reasonable rate.
