gkunit20 1
Anyone else see this? I saw it the other night, and nearly died laughing. Great, great movie. Absoloutly Hilarious.
KowboyKoop 0
eh...there are funny parts..but the movie seemed to last FOREVER and I became disinterested through parts of it......I don't know, it was mildly funny, but I thought Anchorman was WAY funnier. Maybe it will grow on me though, I'm sure I'll watch it again someday. It will never be in the same league as Anchorman though. I could watch that everyday.
allinbluff35 0
didn't think it was that great, had some funny scenes but pretty meh.

Don Giovanni 0
pretty funny movie but it was too long. movies like like that HAVE to be short and sweet.
nell789 0
***Incoming Hi-Jack***Which movie do you guys think was better? Anchorman, or Wedding Crashers? For me it was Wedding Crashers, but that is probably because I saw Anchorman little bit late, and when I finally did, I had heard all the good lines a million times. Anchorman is a much better movie. 40 had some funny parts but they seemed to try to paste a meaning into the movie and that just hurt it.

KowboyKoop 0
Anchorman is one of the funniest movies of all time. Period. WC and 40 are funny, but not legendary funny. Burgundy is. "and I'm Tits...er, Ron Burgundy."
timbo83 0
I thought anchorman was very weak the first time I saw it but then i was drunk the 2nd time and now I'm a huge fan
greatwhite 0
Anchorman is one of the best movies ever made.
MapleLeafs 142
The trouble with 40 year old is that as usual they showed all the funny parts in the previews. I can't think of a part where I killed myself laughing during it.Obviously Anchorman was miles ahead of 40. As was Wedding Crashers and Old School. I watched American Pie's Band Camp last night, and I laughed more at that than I did at 40 year old virgin.
dreamcaster 0
Harold and Kumar is one of my favourites.
Guest
Agreed... I enjoyed Anchorman and Old School muuuuuuuuch more than 40-year old Virgin. and INEC.
milestodavid 0
If it weren't for Anchorman, I don't think 40 year-old virgin would have been that great. Anchorman set up a humor guideline that this movie would have to follow in order to be impressive. I think that 40 year-old virgin was the funniest movie of the year, but theres no use comparing it to Anchorman. Why? Because there is no comparison.
JBradburn6 0
I thought this was going to be a thread about Royal.I go with Wedding Crashers over Anchorman. They're both great, but it seemed like they were trying a little too hard in Anchorman. I've only seen Wedding Crashers once, but the first viewing was a lot funnier than my first viewing of Anchorman.
Smacciemac 3
40 year old virgin was funny.. but I wasn't pissing my pants or anything.. Old School I LOVE.. Weeee'reeee Streeeaaakkiiinnggg I LOVE that part!I never saw Anchorman.. I for some reason didn't think it would be that funny? It was?I thought Wedding Crashers was pretty funny also but with some boring parts..
RonBurgundy 0
40 year old virgin AND wedding crashers can not be as good as anchorman because they actually have to worry about things like advancing the plot, love stories, making a slightly believable story. with anchorman, they can basically just do consecutive hilarious things because people went in knowing not to expect anything more. its definitely the best movie of its type, that being all out jokes and random shit, i think ive ever seen. ajs510 122
I got bored about 10 minutes into this movie, and it never really did anything to bring me back to "interested". The part where he flipped off his bike through the billboard was funny, but for the most part it was just Steve Carell being "forced-funny". He was much better in Bruce Almighty than in this movie IMO.

Oziumrules 0
Judd Apatow (screenplay or produced) both Anchorman & 40 Yr Old Virgin. I love em both, but Wedding Crashers is funnier than both.
