SO it beomes a five card drawing festival. Instead of raising and bluffing which is clowns game. It takes away his agressiveness because he can't push him out of pots. Man good lesson unreal and he is considered great! TEE HEE TEE HEE
Did the spelling mistake here make this post almost worth the read. I don't get why this concept is so hard for some people to grasp.

The NWP'ers cannot think for themselves. Dreamclown makes up some crazy, dumb BS about not playing short stacks in order to justify his hit and run since he knows he got lucky, and most of the NWP'ers immediately believe it instead of realizing how ridiculous it is. It reminds me of the Emperor's New Clothes. But stupid Doucheclown never should have opened his mouth because now, DN will gladly take Doucheclown's much smaller bankroll just as the clown should've taken DN smaller stack if he thought he was so much better.
seriously, who is that in your avatar, very nice

It is funny to think there is a forum out there with a bunch of mindless boneheads that follow the screwed up thinking of an azzclown and his 'crew'. You can read into their IQs just by watching their responses and chest pumping over there.. Average age, probably in the 14 to 16 range....No wait, Im personally happy that a place like this exists, that means theres a bunch of these children playing at FCP/PR and on other sites at all times... Now thats +EV!! But I apologize now for taking money from their parent's credit cards...The clown is right Neverwin followers!! Listen to your masters.. the GCC is amazing..... LOL!!They have initials... That alone makes me laugh....I bet they have a handshake too...

So think about this... why would the person that is 80% from the free throw line want to LOWER his odds of winning to 50% for the $5000? The 80% guy is already a favorite, why would you feel the need to give your opponent an even shot at winning? If the person shooting 80% againest a guys 67% already has an advantage why would you want to lower your advantage to an even percentage? Also, Im not sure on this point or not. But, it looks as if the only way the 67% person was going to continue to play was if he won the coin flip, right? So wouldnt you just continue to be playing with money that you should have already statisticlly won if you lose the coin flip over and over again??But, I do not agree with DC saying that someone needs to rebuy to continue.... I think DN is wrong in a sense about the free throw thing, but I think just out of human kindness its ok to flip the coin. If a player wants to play for the last couple of BB's he has left blind I do it, its good to keep a customer happy...

Someone sent me a link to some threads that have been taking place on other forums. To say "brain dead" would be a little harsh, but clearly these children are missing the obvious truth: Let us look at an example shall we? Let's say that I am shooting free throws against somebody and am winning $95,000. The bet is simple, each shot is worth $5000, if we both make, or both miss we break even. Now for this example, let's assume that I'm an 80% shooter from the line, while my opponent is a 67% shooter making me a favorite. Now, my opponent is down to $5000 and asks me to LITERALLY flip a coin for it and he'll then continue shooting hoops with me. Well, the odds would obviously be 50-50 on the coinflip. Heads I bust him, tails and I get to continue playing as a substancial favorite. Essentially, the better player is a HUGE favorite to win the coinflip! As long as the sucker would continue to shoot hoops with me, I would win that $5000 a very high percentage of the time. Even if the sucker made a stipulation where every time he was down to $5000 we'd flip for it, I would get that $5000. To pass up on the proposition to flip the coin would be passing up on substancial +EV since I would essentially be getting odds on the coinflip. I'd have a 50% chance to win it right away, but even if I lose that coinflip it would allow me to have another bet where I'll make 4 out of 5 baskets compared to my opponent who will only make 2 out of 3. Class dismissed.
Funny you say this Daniel, but as I pointed out on NWP, you made the complete opposite argument when you were on the OTHER end of the "stack" in your lame "tourist" post. The one where you so proudly claimed how great a guy you were by giving all the tourist at a 5/10 game a chance to flip their entire stack (trip money/mortgage money, etc) for a chance at your 150k stack. Funny, but back then you seemed to think that the short stacks were the one with the "big" advantage! Seems a bit hypocritical to me.So, what again were you trying to teach?
That's the beauty in the difference between Limit and no limit, isn't it?If I sit with 200, I can double in one hand, to 400. Next hand to 800. Next hand to 1600. Do you see why that's not the same as Limit?
Do you ever make a real point??

I think its really nice that the teachers at the special school let you spend so much time at the computer. I'm suprised though, that the foam coming from your mouth doesn't fuck up the keyboard. In a No Limit game, you can double your stack on each game versus a larger stack. In a limit game, no matter the stacks, the most you can lose is 12 big bets. Do you understand why chip stacks are more relative in No Limit?Go put your helmet on, I think the other kids are getting ready to go play with their own shit. You wouldn't want to miss that, now would you?

Sometimes I get worried as to how I can continue to make money playing poker.Surely everybody is getting better at understanding the game and the well is drying up.Posts like these put my mind at ease...

I believe in this example he is saying that the coinflip is the only way he gets a shot at the last $5000. A 50% chance is worse than his "free throw" advantage, but still an even bet. Even if he loses, with his free throw advantage, he will inevitably end up back at the final $5000 coinflip because he has the advantage. Eventually, he will win the coinflip and get it all.DN is saying this is overall better than quitting and not taking a chance at that last $5000, especially if the opponent truly believes he is an overall favorite.

I'm really not sure why I'm responding to this, but it has me laughing pretty hard so I'll give it a try: Dude, you are comparing apples to Norweigan Frankfurters! When I played at the win I was going all in BLIND. BLIND!!! You call that flipping coins in a 50-50 situation? I'm all in with a random hand in a 10 handed game, and others can wait for a hand like QQ. They get QQ, I get 10-3 off suit. That's a coinflip to you? Man, on second though, why did I even bother replying to this post. It's not that funny at all...

Here is the kicker, if you DON'T flip the coin with the 67% shooter you have NO CHANCE to get the $5000. That would be lowering your expectatiion to... 0! By accepting the 50-50 bet, you will give youself an opportunity to make an additional bet where you are a favorite.

I am a fan of Daniel's but I do not agree with him on this point.Dreamclown played poker and was willing to play more as soon as DN reloaded. Daniel wanted him to do a coin flip for $5000. Five grand may mean more to Dreamclown than to Daniel so I don't blame him for not doing it. He just wanted to play poker, seems like a reasonable request. If forced to bet, I would put my money on DN long-term in this match up. I think he can make the needed adjustments and beat this clown. But he needs to just quit the petty debate and put his $300K in play. The best lesson will be beating him until he quits, not posts in a poker forum.

However, if you believe that by busting him there is zero chance of him re-loading (just skulking away with his tail between his legs), but by messing with him there is a non-trivial probability that he will reload now, then your EV from this play is way greater. It may well be poor etiquette, bad manners etc (see your blog, which I agree with 100% btw) but it can also be a rational play.Carry on taking them seriously....and take 'em down!
