Governator 54
I saw him in the fall of 2004 on a TV Show called "Off the Record, with Michael Landsberg" - It's on TSN.I knew Daniel from the poker world but after watching the show I felt he was a real cool guy and I wanted to know more about his background and how he got into poker. They put up his web address at the end of the show so I went and checked it out to see what he's all about.
Brisco 0
Seems like he would be fun to have at your table.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
He and I used to date back in the day but we just couldn't agree on things like religion, politics, and raising our future kids together.I enjoy watching him play poker on tv. He is a little goofy sometimes but I really enjoy how he keeps it loose on tv and thinks out loud. Him verbalizing his thought process shows how many times his reads are good. And that I respect. He is a talent.
Royal_Tour 0
I actually don't know if I would classify myself as a "DN fan". Â I am an FCP fan though. Why's that?I dunno. There are just a few things about his personality that I'm not crazy about. It's not a big deal, and just a function of the fact that not everyone in the world is meant to get along.I definately respect him and wish him the best, but I'm not a "fan".I'm a Speedz and Ron mexico Fan/stalker.Ahh. my firts DN moment. lets see.. i remember as a young boy growing up in the mountains of Peru, my gammy told me. "Royal, u need to follow your heart where ever it takes you". And then, a few years later, i was introduced to poker, playing several variations of games, we soon stumbled upon holdem.yadda yadda yadda, fast forward a couple years and FCP started. And i watched DN play freedie deebs heads up and really enjoyed watching him play. and that is that
No_Neck 0
I saw his blog and he discussed what he was thinking during the hands and the thought process. That was valuable information. Then I fell in love with Smash
PT0077 0
Because he cares enough to let people know what is going on in his life and he isn't afraid to hide anything. He seems genuine, and for a public figure, that's hard to find.
healeydays 0
It's the personality that drew me to paying attention to him and his style. He takes the game serious, but has his light side to him. I understand it's a job, but you need to also enjoy your job to keep sane and DN seems to do just that...

nutzbuster 7
He seems to be in the camp of folks who thinks that the Lexus SC430 convertible is an amazing car. Good enough for me.There's also a rumor going around that he plays poker. Is this true?Best...
rocksquid 50
It had to be on the Travel Channel. Funny guy to watch and the hand analysis while sitting there is fun to watch.
missIdaho 1
Unlike a lot of the pros I see on TV, he looks like he is actually having fun. he seems like the kind of guy that I would enjoy playing a home game with. His enthusiasm for poker is contagious.
jeffgen 0
It had to be on the Travel Channel. Funny guy to watch and the hand analysis while sitting there is fun to watch.Me too... saw him on Travel Channel and I enjoyed how he reacted and talked through his hands. He's a jokester, but his mind is always focused on his opponents -- always looking for a weakness to attack (I learned this the hard way playing HORSE! LOL!!). Good entertainment, fun guy... and truely a genuine person.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
because this one time, I was sitting in the mall minding my own business, he started talking to me for no reason. Come to find out later, he thought I was homeless, a prostitute, and he even thought I was black. He saw right through me. The man is brilliant.

rsmbox 1
the first time i saw him play i thought he was kind of cocky too...but then one day i was bored at work and read a few of his articles on some other site (don't remember where) and liked his writing style, so i went looking for more...stumbled upon his blog, read all those entries, which changed my mind about him... nealdo17 0
Definitely after Poker at the Plaza against Freddy Deeb was when I first got interested in DN. That one hand where he made Freddy lay down the best hand was beautiful. Granted, Freedy isnt the best NLHE player, but I didnt know that then. FCP has certainly elevated my involvement in the DN bandwagon
ckbandit 0
I've been a fan of his ablilities for a while. However I've been a big fan of his since around a year ago. My wife recognized Lori as one of her HS teammates in the crowd of one the televised events DN was playing. She e-mailed him to see if it really was her, and within a couple hours he replied. He's answered every one of our messages since and has proven himself to be a nice guy.

( Drunken 200 bucks not well spent ) Anyway, I am a fan of Daniels only because I had the good fortune to share a 20 second interlude with him at the urinal in one of the Bellagio bathrooms. Glanced over and to put it mildly dude is hung like nobodys buisness.
Jordan 1
championship poker at the plaza opened me up to him more...i dont remember how i found his site back in the day..but i would read all his articles and stuff...then one day the site was gone to be "updated" and thus we have the current state of FCP.i had emailed him to congratulate him on his victory at the plaza cuz it was pretty impressive and he replied back which i thought was pretty cool...cuz i didn't expect it or anything...i mean all i said was...'hey man, good job taking down the tourney at the plaza...blah blah' and a day later or so i had something back.plus he is down to earth and personable...- Jordan
