why are you a dn fan?

Recommended Posts

How did you become a DN fan? How did you hear about him? When did you first see him play? I'm curious how we all ended up here at FCP.I was never a fan of watching poker on TV until I saw the 2004 Borgata Open. I've been a loyal fan of Daniel's since.

To be honest, the first time I saw Daniel on tv was the event where it was him against E-Dog heads up. I was rooting for E-Dog because I thought DN was way too cocky. I saw him a few days later and realized that he was a pretty funny and cool guy and amazing at poker on top of that. Then it seemed like I saw him every day in the 2004 WSOP and that's when he became one of my favorite players. I eventually did a google search on him and found this site. I'm glad I did.Go Daniel!

Stumbled upon this site, then find pictures of his then girlfriend, now wife. Now I sit around around covered in vaseline and masterbate non-stop to her pictures in her bikini. Been a fan of Daniels ever since.

I am here because I can't stand Mike Matusow. He is loud and obnoxious.Rude.And a terrible player.DN is his polar opposite :-D The dude is nice as hell.. i dig that he is a 4 year old trapped in a poker pro's life. I like that he is a christian and has good values but enjoys having a good time. The dude is a role model. He's living the dream. And yes, huge points for lookign like ed norton and acting like him at times, Norton is my fav actor as well.Wow i sound like a faggot.

Saw him for the first time in 2003 - i loved how he analyzed his thought process out loud. I thought - that's entertaining. Then i learned his results, found his site prior to it being this big had some email interaction with him and have been a big fan ever since.

well, i don't remember exactly when i became a DN fan. I think it was after watching him rip Freddy Deebs a new one in the Championship poker at the Plaza. He became my favorite, though after seeing how much better and more personal his site was than all the other poker player sites i had seen. He's just a fan friendly dude.

I actually don't know if I would classify myself as a "DN fan". I am an FCP fan though.
Why's that?
I dunno. There are just a few things about his personality that I'm not crazy about. It's not a big deal, and just a function of the fact that not everyone in the world is meant to get along.I definately respect him and wish him the best, but I'm not a "fan".

I reckon it was his blog that got me 'interested' in him. He is definately the msot frank, honest and reliable 'blogger' that I read and lets face it... In the world of poker at the minute where there are so many cocky, arrogant kids Daniel is a touch of class. I also realise he has not always been this way and I think that as far as any poker player can be, he is a superb role model.

I was reading about all of the pros and I found this site. I started reading his blog every day before the forum started. I was hooked. Daniel is warm, funny, engaging, smart, sensitive, insightful and just all around a person that you would enjoy hanging around.Out of everything he is, what I admire the most is his business sense. I am sure the best stories of Daniel's are the ones behind the scenes, his negotiations, his eye for new opportunities and thinking outside of the box. Anyway, Daniel rocks! :club:
