You guys are leaving out the random lucky fat guy. And the Brenes brothers definately aren't very good. I expect D'Agostino, Luske, Hellmuth, and DN to do very well.

if this is just the main event winner, then yes the top 5 would include average joes. But this is about POY candidates, meaning they will be guys we know since average joes won't join more than a couple events and most likely wont win consistently

I think people overestimate the value of Ivey. Although I think he is one of the best players in the world. I heard that he wasn't playin in a lot of teh events this year.
