Poppy_Hillis 11
I think I'm in the acceptance stage of grief with the Heat. I still want Dallas to win, but I don't have hope anymore.I was in denial until the game last night. I think Dallas may be destined to win this year, though. That's all I've got at this point. BigDMcGee 3,352
I really don't mind all the heat talk right now, because the heat are the biggest, most important sports story right now ( unless you're Canadian I guess). It's all the heat talk leading up to this point that I mind. I think today's open is going to be hilarious.
BigDMcGee 3,352
I can't even listen to Bucher anymore. I fast forward his appearance both lebatard and the bs report. just a horrible hack.
Skeleton Jelly 2
I can't even listen to Bucher anymore. I fast forward his appearance both lebatard and the bs report. just a horrible hack.I think he's totally wrong, but I also think he made some valid points. You can't judge Rose against Miami solely based on shooting percentage when he kept having to try to bail Chicago's offense out time and time again. Nobody else on Chicago could do anything against them so everything fell on Rose and yet every one of those games came right down to the end. It's at least mildly amusing that Dan "Sample Size" LeBatard is trying to use the handful of minutes where Lebron guarded Rose as the conversation ender. Now, I think Lebron is the best player in the league by a healthy margin, but if you thought Rose was the best all year (and apparently a lot of people did), then one series shouldn't change your mind. Jadaki 0
Anyone who thinks Rose is the best player in the league is on crack.I'm saying this while I'm in Chicago, I give myself a 72% chance of being stabbed by a rabid Bulls fan while I'm here.
Poppy_Hillis 11
I love Ric Bucher, but yes one series is enough to change your opinion when a guy can't even get a good shot, ever, against the guy who you're saying is not as good as him. Sure, Rose doesn't have Wade or Bosh, or even a healthy Boozer, but the guy was shut down by Lebron, one on one, over and over. You can't be the best if you can't score against the second best. Poppy_Hillis 11
Watching Heat game at Bellagio sitting next to Mike Ryan...asked him to watch my seat when I went to bathroom, he said ill do my best, I come back and someones in my seat, I said "thats your best?"

CaneBrain 95
I forgot how much better the show is without all the Heat crap.Yeah, they wasted all that time when they could have been covering other relevant Miami sports stories. Panthers just picked #3 in the draft, ffs.

Like flesh-eating cocaine.I understand that but you can't blame them or be surprised. The Heat were huge news nationally for 6 straight months-----they are pretty much obligated to cover them. It was pretty fascinating.
Skeleton Jelly 2
I don't blame them; as Dan says repeatedly, it's a show for Miami. I just like it more when it's not all about Miami.I liked a lot of the Heat stuff, but they really beat that shit into the ground. I heard the same discussions so many times that I think I could've done the show for them. I think the show is at its best when it has a mix of fun topics and serious topics and neither one of those needs to be sports related.

Jadaki 0
I skip anything when they are talking baseball, bores me to tears. I listen to the Sampson segments though. Also has anyone seen a pic of David Sampson, he doesn't look anything like he sounds.
