cheviot 0
On 2+2, I read that Joe Cassidy is expressing interest in playing DN in heads up limit hold 'em. Daniel also expressed concern over the match, implying that Cassidy is a tough limit hold 'em player. I don't know much about him except for what I've seen from him on TV (USPC and WPT Invitational). Is Joe Cassidy a regular big limit player (1000-2000 and up)? Even a 400-800 player would find it tough to put up 100K of his bankroll.
JaysonWeber 0
I think the only way this would happen is if Cassidy got backed, I also don't think he has the b/r to risk this much against Daniel. I've always liked Cassidy, dont know much about him though.
DanielNegreanu 141
My biggest concers are fending off all of the great, young limit hold'em specialists that hone their skills on the internet. Joe may actually be the favorite, but I did get rid of my rust in the game so I have renewed confidence that I'll do ok. Ideally I'd rather play guys like Barry Greenstein because I honestly and genuinely feel like my edge would be biggest against him. It would also be satisfying to bring him back to Earth a little bit if you know what I mean! In fact, I would stake Joe in limit hold'em against Barry anytime. I'd also stake Jennifer Harman, Todd Brunson, Howard Lederer, Phil Ivey, John D'Agostino, Erick Lindgren, Erik123, David Oppenhiem, Ted Forrest, Ray Dekargani, John Hennigan and several others in limit hold'em against Barry. I think it's one of his worst games. In the corporation against Andy Beal he just migth be the biggest loser overall as I don't think he beat Andy in any of the sessions they played. Of course if you ask Barry he might tell you that he was the biggest winner for the corporation. The biggest winner in cash game history. That he wins 106% of his sessions, and has also never played a tournament that he didn't finish first place in.

JaysonWeber 0
But regarding the list you put together. I think it's great to see, Gives me hope, I know that all the younger players have such an advantage, a 25 year old can have played as much as you and no longer does a young player mean an inexperienced player.Infact when I play at the Casino, I prefer to sit with old guys.Cassidy would be fun too watch against you... I like the fact that he isn't in your face everytime a camera is around, he act's like he's been there before and I respect that.
DanielNegreanu 141
The plan against Barry is to play throughout the WSOP. Any night where we are both out of the tournament by 6:00pm we will play until midnight and carry over throughout the month. We'll be playing all of the nine games at $500,000 a pop and they will be chosen randomly out of a hat.
Patricnz 0
Daniel, Who would you stake against Layne Flack in NLH ?
BPV 0
Is barry comfortable with losing 4.5 million dollars? It was late when i wrote this.. math skills weren't all that sharp
BriantheMan 0
I think Daniel would even tell you that he won't win all 9 games, I think it'll be pretty close between Barry and Daniel, perhaps 6-3, 5-4.BTW Daniel, if your reading this, I absolutely loved your Scotty Nguyen impression at the US poker championships."if if if you call now baby, its all over". Randy Reed 0
I'm curious about the corporation matches against Andy. I never knew that they actually played. Are you refering to when they played high limit or was there an actual 20 mil (or whatever) match? That is wild that you are playing Barry during the WSOP afor all them matches, lots of dough on the line. Do you think it will take away from your WSOP games with all that riding? That's also alot of consecutive hours at the table, will you be worried about burnout?Hmm, lots of questions here, lol. JaysonWeber 0
Theres going to be 4 day ones I think, Maybe 5? So they'll be able to get in 4-5 games on those nights... This is awesome, Guess I'm going to be spending my nights at the Wynn!

DanielNegreanu 141
The plan is to play Barry over a course of a month and limit the sessions to six hours at a time... I thought Antonio's article was a little odd...

Pokerghost2 0
i like the "prefight hype" so to speak, but in any heads up match there is a huge amount of luck involved between any 2 competitiors provided they dont play tight. And that wont be the case at all between these 2.

DN you are and will always be the man. 4.5 million on the line against your arch-enemy, wow that's a lot of pressure. You are a true action player and willing to back up your comments with paper. We all know you'll make us proud. Good Luck.

Pokerghost2 0
i agree with what he said about lhe now nlhe on the other hand i think a player could have a large skill overlay. Id like to see DN play prahlad friedman deep in money heads up nlhe. And my money would be on prahlad.
