They really aren't boats anyway. Pretty much just a boat looking building on the water. Except horseshoe, it's not even a boat really, it's built on apparently the biggest barge in the country, just looks like a building. As for drink service though, if you ask the dealer, they can hit a button to get them there quicker. Have yet to have anything to drink though.

Just got back.....The game was pretty tight and passive, and overall I played average at best. .....The overall feel of the room is The drinks were definitely slow.
Pretty much what I thought. The $2/$5 game I sat at was a table of local rocks with no sense of humor at all and one fish who ran good on me. I started at a $1/$2 table and I think there was money to be made there. The room is nice. I thought it is a tad cramped. Drinks are non-extant, and you have to walk 5 miles for food and can't bring it in the room. Suck Suck Suck. But I'm sure they'll work it out.
I have never been on a casino boat. Can you feel that you are on a boat? Does it rock?
LOL. "We have $xx,xxx, xxx in play, in the open at any time." Do you think they'd want an unstable house?

The "service button" is futile as well.

I am headed to the Shoe in a little bit. Will post report later tonight.Ben**EDIT**Cliff Notes: The room is beautiful and spacious. The tables suck ass with all the logos and printing everywhere. The dealers are mostly slow, but they'll get there with a little practice. The game selection didn't live up to my expectations at all - there were a ton of 1/2 and 2/5 NLHE games going, but no mixed game and no LHE over 3/6 (I had my name on the 6/12 list for each game for 6 hours today and neither list got longer than 3 names). I played great and chipped up for 5 hours and then got slowrolled in a nearly $800 pot where I was unfortunate to pick up JJ in the straddle position.Long version: Played $1/$2 NL: In the first half hour or so I doubled up w/ AJ vs. a flush draw on an Ace-hi board, then picked off a bluff w/ a flush draw that turned into 2 pair and quickly found myself up 2 buy-ins. A while later I lost a pretty substantial pot against a total donk when he went runner/runner against my flopped top 2. He called my c/r on the flop w/ air, I moved him in dark on the turn, but he had picked up a straight draw and that was good enough to call off the rest of his chips. Obv. he hit and I lost back a big chunk of what I was winning earlier.I mostly just chipped up for the next several hours playing smart, low-risk poker. Then I found myself in a perfect shit-storm of circumstances where it made sense to stack off w/ JJ.My stack was roughly $365 and I put out the straddle. EP (who I covered) raises to $16, it folds to BB who calls. I peek my cards to see JJ and I re-raise to $46. EP thinks for a while and finally decides on a call. Then BB (who had b/t 700 and 800 in front of him) shoves all-in. I hadn't played too many pots vs. BB in the 5+ hours we'd both been there. The only substantial pot I remember playing against him I folded JJ to his KK in the first hour or so. He made several weird over-bets throughout the session though. Things like betting $60 into a $25 pot or raising to $90 from the BB in a 3-way limped pot. He also folded several times where he would try to "buy the pot" but fold to a min-raise. If the hand plays out more normally I probably fold my JJ there, but b/c I had straddled (and nobody every believes the straddle can pick up a real hand) and the BB had a HUGE stack and was kind of money-whipping people all day - it all added up to a call. EP thinks for a while and folds (claiming to fold JJ as well) and BB looks kind of sick that I made the call. The board runs out K-high. I table my cards and am still not sure where I am. BB sits for a minute and turns over his hand with an Ace showing. He starts pushing it towards the muck and for a second I'm really stoked that I'm going to drag this huge pot... Then the ******* fans his cards out and says something like, "oh, I have Aces." I wanted to punch his malnourished, Skurvy-having ass, but instead I just tapped the table, said "nice hand sir," and quickly got out of dodge...

Wow. that really just freakin sucks about the slowroll. I don't even know what I would have done or said in that situation. He'll get is, just too bad that he might not get his from you.About the only thing I hate about live cash games is not being able to see your opponents cards when you're all in.

I give you a ton of credit for just say nice hand and walking away. If that had happened to me I would have probably had delivered a sh*tstorm his way letting him know what a douche he is. If I was really in a bad mood I may have wound up banned from there. I know talking sh*t to him or beating his a$$ doesn't change what just happened, but it can definitely help you feel better. :club:

What about cash games on Stars ? You get it all in and then you have that second or two of "OMG WTF does he have". I hate that aspect of both live and online. We got it all in, flip your damn cards up and lets see where this is going.Dan

SFGWhen you said slowrolled I didn't know it was a full on douchebag version, that is fuckin ridiculous.

I ended up going this morning, got there a little after 8. Won 2 big pots and cashed out at like 11:30 +320. Last time I got up decent I sat there a few more hours and lost it back, so today I decided to sit another hour or so and then call it quits. The table was a little too decent anyway.First hand I tangled with. Table was probably 6 handed or something at the time, a few people still there from last night, one guy apparently had been there like 3 days according to everyone. Some people talking about leaving, others going to get food, so I dunno, table was just playing a little funny so far. When I first sat down there seemed to be a few big pots right away, then it settled down a little and I pickup 99 after probably an orbit or so, hadn't played a hand yet, since it was so aggressive pf so far. Onto the hand itself. I pickup the 99. I actually forget the action so far. I think there may have been a raise to 10 in front of me, which I called and maybe one other caller... then a guy a couple spots to my left just says "All In". He's getting sorta short, but ends up having I think $87 total. It folds around to me, and I say to him "Deuces?", and he gives me the, "I can beat deuces." "He's like, I think I've got you here. In fact if you've got deuces, you're in an 80/20 situation." So now I'm putting him on a pair a little higher than deuces, but is it bigger than 99? I just didn't think so but I don't always pull the trigger when I think I have a read. But he just kept yapping, so I think he really wanted me to fold, so I made the call and he turns over 55. I forget the exact board, but it involved a 34567 straight for him.... NICE! Down 100 off the bat. So I pull out another 100 and get back to 200. So much for good reads, lol.Now the 2 pots I won.First one, I get AA in the BB and there's a limp behind me and then the big stack and solid player makes a raise in the CO. Really wanted to reraise here, but 3-bets were non existant, and I know this guy is the type to notice that I'm playing pretty tight. So I call his raise, and unfortunately, so does the limper behind me. Oh well, 3 handed to the flop. Flop is QT5 all hearts. Ugh, I look down and my red ace is a diamond, not a heart. Shit! Either way, I bet out $50, limper folds, and the big stack gives me the "What do you have left there" I think it was like $120 or so. He does his little hollywood, which he did whenever he made a big bet, and bets like $200. At this point, as soon as he said "What do you have left?", the alarm goes off in my head. I just can't put him on anything huge at this point, not only is he raising an all heart flop, but he's being a bit of a bully about it, so I get the feeling my aces might be good at the moment, but even if they are, I have to no doubt dodge a heart at least. I took probably 3 minutes or so thinking, and just decided to go with the read again and said, this is probably a bad call, but I am gonna do it anyway. So I call... turn is a black 7, river is a non heart 2 and he didn't look too excited, so I flip the aces over, and he just stares at the board for a minute before mucking. I could've asked to see his cards, but I had a pretty good idea it was probably something like KJ with a heart. As long as I won, I don't need to be a dick about it. So now I'm healthy again, back up to like $500 now.Only other big pot I play, I get JJ and raise it from the SB, early position limper calls me, it's his 2nd hand at the table. Flop is Jh7h3s. So I just bet $15 and he calls. Turn is the 8h and I check, still feeling like I have the best hand. Now this guy goes all-in for like $100, I don't even know how much he had, but it was right in that range. So now all I'm thinking is, there's no way this guy has the flush, so I take a couple seconds and make the call. Dealer puts out another beautiful 3 on the river just incase I needed it, and this guy turns over 9T. (Oh shit, I didn't even think about the straight.) In hindsight though, I'm not sure I fold anyway, it was just such a bad overbet that it felt like he was overplaying 2 pair when he saw the scary flush card. (I guess I couldn't have had it yet as far as he's concerned.) But anyway, I turn over the Jacks Full and he's like "Well at least I didn't get rivere-" "Oh shit, I did get rivered, dammit!" and he gets up and leaves after seriously 2 hands at the table. So I play a little longer and cash out +$320 before my luck turns in the other direction again.Wow that was kinda long.
