I think there needs to be a small white truck parked next to the scene of the accident, watching but not participating.

How was the crowd for The Lovely Bones?

That's how I felt when I saw Gangs of New York, followed closely by City of God. DDL is fantastic in Gangs, but the movie didn't do much for me. City Of God though, that's the real thing.     I don

By the way, they're rebooting Superman again. For 2013.
Oh jesus...really?Saw the last Harry Potter. It was very good up until they fucked up everything past the point that

he comes back from King's Cross. Why the hell would they change anything about the last battle scene? The minor change to how Neville kills the snake was a pointless way of drawing it out, and really took away from the fact that he shocked the crowd into continuing the fight. The additions to the one on one battle between Harry and Voldemort were pointless, especially the flying around, and the fact that it didn't happen in front of everyone was a huge mistake. The whole thing was a mess, and obviously the epilogue scene caused more laughter than anything else in the entire series. The movie cost hundreds of millions to make (probably), and they couldn't even do a decent makeup job for the final scene. They would have been better off doing...anything other than what they did.

qft. i live in a college town and it's typical to walk in a bar full of 21 year olds and none of them are 1/2 as hot as Aniston.

Harry Potter. It was really good, probably the best out of all of them. But because I'm a fan of the books I'm going to be nitpicky with some of the scenes:

The room of requirement scene was way too rushed. Draco was a main villain throughout the whole series and Harry saving him was a huge deal. Not so much in the movie. Harry saves him and two seconds later they are out of the room. Also, since when did Crabbe or Goyle (the fat one) turn into a skinny black kid? Also, why are there new random black kids in each of the movies? Do they have a black kid quota for each movie that needs to be met?I didn't cheer at the scene where Hermione and Ron kissed after breaking the horcrux, like the rest of the theater did. I cringed at how awkward and random them making out looked at that point in the movie. The 19 years later scene just didn't work. Putting "old people clothes" on young people does not make them look older.Hagrid is not in the whole movie and randomly shows up at the end as a captive. Just weird editing not having him in any of the earlier parts. The battle scenes were better than I thought they were going to be... just a couple of complaints. They made mention of the Carrows being bad guys in the movie, and there was a lot of them in the book. Why even make mention of them in the movie if they don't even show up at all? Also, the battle scene between Mrs. Weasley and Bellatrix was weak as F.There is other stuff, but I'll leave it at that.

But like I said, I liked it. I think they did a decent job adapting the books into movies especially with how big some of the books were. The books were just better.

agree

I was hoping in the last scene that they would use different actors for the 19 years later part. It looked like they put Ginny's head on an older woman's body. What a weird scene. They looked like kids playing dress up.

I went to see the Harry Potter on Sunday. There was a woman sitting two rows behind us who switched back and forth between chewing her popcorn like a cow, repeating lines from the movie, and crying. Yes! Crying. She was crying so loudly her friend was whispering "shhhhhhhhhhhhhh" to her.I'm surprised more people aren't murdered.

Disclaimer: I haven't read the books.

I laughed at the kissing scene. Totally wtf? Didn't see it coming, didn't think it made any sense. The 19 years later scene not only didn't work, but was totally unnecessary.

I liked the movie well enough though.

Yea man, agreed. I haven't seen HP but there's nothing worse than those annoying people near you in a theater ruffling all their bags and chowing on popcorn with their mouth open. It's 10x worse when it's an important opening scene with characters who talk with accents. It's hard enough to hear what they are saying often let alone battling with background noise from idiots. I found this with all 3 Lord of the Rings.

I almost never go to movies until they're just about to fall out of the first-run theaters anymore, like 3-4 weeks into their release. Can't stand having the mouthbreathers sitting too close to me for exactly the reasons that have been posted thusfar.

The kid who played Crabbe got busted manufacturing cannabis with intent to sell, so he was replaced in the final movie as a result.
I knew he did something illegal which is why he wasn't in it. You'd think they would do better than replacing him with a skinny black kid though. One last thing about the movie...

I loved the scene where Voldemort is walking through Gringotts with blood all over his feet with the goblins laid out dead everywhere. Pretty dark and twisted, I didn't expect they would make a scene that dark in a Harry Potter movie

BuriedAfter the first 10 minutes I thought I wasn't going to like this movie, but I actually did. It has a 127 hours feel to it where the main character is stuck and completely helpless. I didn't know Ryan Reynolds could act, I thought he did a great job.

The scene with the snake was too much for me. I couldn't fathom being stuck in a coffin with a snake. Worst case scenario ever for me.

TronI guess I made the mistake of not going to the theater to see it in 3d. For me this was unwatchable. It was boring. I tried to understand what they were talking about, but I just couldn't do it, and after awhile I stopped caring. I turned it off at about the 1hour 20min point and sent it back in the mail to netflix.

Did you see the first one?
No. But even if I saw the first one I don't think it would have helped. If I knew what was going on I would still not like it.

The first one was painfully bad. The remake didn't improve on it very much.

just watched the fighter. it was on netflix instant watch surprisingly enough. I really enjoyed it. I don't care what anybody says, I enjoy mark wahlberg as an actor. oh, and amy adams all trashed up? I would do stuff to her that they don't allow on the regular porn sites.also watched true grit the other day. now that was a damn fine movie. how in the hell did the girl a) not get nominated for best lead actress and b) win an oscar at all? she was awesome.

I thought she was better than the lady from the fighter so I agree that she should have won best supporting actress. I also agree that she should have been nominated for best actress, but Portman would still have won.

Yeah, I really liked that movie. Everyone in it was fantastic, and Amy Adams was ridic hot in those tiny little shorts.

The Adjustment BureauI loved the story of the two main characters, but I hated the whole sci/fi element. The guy with a checkered past campaigning for a senate seat, the girl a world class dancer, both love each other but their careers force them apart. Isn't that enough story for a good movie? The whole adjustment bureau element didn't work for me. It definitely was not a horrible movie, but it could have been better if they went in a different direction. The Lincoln LawyerNow this was good. Matthew McCanaughey actually was good and didn't act like a goofball surfer dude like he is in most of his movies. My only complaint with this and most courtroom dramas is that they make it look like it is so freaking easy to find evidence on just about everything. But I did like this, highly recommended.
