showstopper24 0
If pro wrestlers count, I have met & partied with a bunch!!!Oh yea-I went to Raw a long time ago (in the late 1990s) and I was somehow able to go backstage and meet a few of them. I met Trish Stratus (her left boobie touched my right shoulder ), Test, Albert, Lita, Matt and Jeff Hardy. It was pretty cool.
TRB05 1
This psycho had dinner at my house one night in the early 90's. I think my step-dad was selling him some weed.Randall "Tex" Cobb He was really nice, but a bit off, and had a really distinct laugh.
TheCinciKid 0
My list is pretty lame.I'm pretty sure I shared an elevator with Charles Barkley at a hotel in Phoenix when I was a kid, but I don't know for sure. And of course I was too young/shy to say anything. I met Carl Erskine (a former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher) at a Dodgers/Reds game once and got an autograph...that was cool for me b/c I'm a Dodger fan and a fan of history. He was really cool as I recall, signed autographs for everybody.Johnny Bench stayed at the hotel I work at last summer, I didn't get to check him in, but I brought a couple extra towels to his room. He tipped me two bucks.I've also met a few politicians in Kentucky. The most major probably being Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

*Lone*Trout* 0
I was a Chef at a corporate fishing lodge in Alaska and went fishing with Dan Quayle. Quite simply one of the most amazingly nice people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. It was after dinner and I was cleaning up after the meal and he asked if anyone wanted to go fishing (being Alaska in the summer, plenty of daylight). Everyone (other guests, including his sons) passed and I said I'd go. We took a skiff out on Alaknagik Lake and found a feeder creek, greased it with salmon roe and proceded to slam Rainbow, Arctic Char, and Greyling like crazy. We talked about life after politics, raising kids, and fishing. Can't say enough about how down to earth and real he was. Also had Denny Crum(former head coach of Louisville Cardinals) as a guest. High maintenence, great tipper.Former Speaker of The House Denny Hastert was also a guest. His Capitol Police guard (senate's version of Secret Service) was very cool. I sliced a roast Baron of Beef on a buffet line at Copper Mountain and I had the pleasure of serving John Elway. Bigger than he looks on TV. *L*T*
rocksquid 50
I met George 'Mr. Sulu' Takei in a hotel lobby in Rochester when I was moving some stuff in for a convention I was working. Told him I loved him on Stern's show and he gave me that distinctive laugh of his and said 'Thank you' in that deep voice.Mike Tyson and Rory Halloway were shopping for cd's at Strawberry's Records and Tapes. I congradulated him on his recent nuptuals to Robin Givens and he said 'Thank you' in that distinctive high voice of his. Pleasant enough guy, he chatted with an older couple for a minute before heading out the door. Hollaway paid for the cd's.

He was incredibly smart and dominated Al Gore in the debates. The best part is when he called Gore out on something he beileved and Al Gore said, "That is a lie, I've never believed that.", to which Quayle responded, "It's in your book, page 248." It was unreal. Another example is in Genus III of Trival Pursuit, there are like 1000 questions about how stupid he is. One was: [Which vice-president once said, "I've always loved California, I grew up in Phoenix"?] What a crock of crap. Phoenix is just over 200 miles from California. The media can skew anything to make it look bad.On a side note about Gore, I recently read something he wrote in 1992 on the campaign trail about him and Clinton getting universal health care for everyone if they were elected. Why do people continue to believe the crap that politicians feed them?
