I'm sure that there are tons of people out there who make consistent good money playing rings. I, however, have found that playing ring games causes either huge spikes or huge downswings for me. This is why I play almost exclusively SNG's now. I have been able to keep track of my stats and have been consistent with my ROI and ITM%'s, and therefore know that unless I hit a huge downswing, I'll be profitable. I've glanced at Harrington's books, but I've never really studied them. I usually play 2/3 tables at a time. If I'm one tabling, I get bored, and if I 4 table, my ITM % goes down. clashcity, I've been doing the same thing for a while. I'm a big fan of Bodog, I like the software, I think it moves faster than the other sites, and most of the games are pretty soft. On the other hand, if you can't get a steady game going at the limit you prefer, you need to go where there's action at your game of choice. So I say, if the action is too spotty for you, it's time to move. Also, once football starts, the poker room will have a lot more action. There's a ton of people who like to take their NFL sports boook winnings into the poker room.

Okay fellas, over the last month I have decided to exclusively play SNG's. I'm keeping detailed stats on everything I do, and after 370, my ROI is at 32% and I'm ITM 42%. I've never really kept detailed stats for any of my play, and this is has been my attempt to take my play serisously, and keep myself from duming my winnings from HE at the Omaha 8 table. Anyway, I was just wondering what %'s other SNG players have out there. And what level people think the SNG competition becomes tougher. I play mainly $20 or $30.

I'm looking for a new computer myself. I have an older laptop right now. And I usually only play 2-3 tables at a time. Any have a recommendation about how big a screen and what res I would need to have 3 tables going with minimal overlap?

I always think I can make it down to the convenience store in the lobby of my building to get a pop or pack of smokes or something. Then, when I get back to my place I'm on autofold and look at my hand history and see that I autofolded at least one monster.

How exactly do you mis-read your cards playing online? I've made mistakes like that at the casino, thinking I had different suit etc, but how can you not see your cards when they are staring you in the face?

You have to realize that it does you know good to be the 9th best poker player in the world if you are playing against the top 8. I forget who said that, but if you're not comfortable taking money from weaker players, then there's no point to the game. I used to feel a little bit of guilt creeping in from time to time, but by about the third time I went broke, I mean really broke, I decided that I was playing to make money.

I've done PSO three times now, and was just wondering if anyone knows of any other sites that offer similar promotions. Or is it best to just finish the rest of the PSO sites?

Any other FCP'ers playing in this thing? Still early on, 480 out of 580 left. Just doubled up through some chump with my 88 against his 44 on a flop of 9 8 2. Makes you wonder what these people are thinking. Anyway, just wanted to see if there are any people I should keep an eye out for.

that's hilarious, I just played it at work and everyone is looking at me like I'm an idiot, although that might not have anything to do with this.

I had tons of problems with Noble when I was trying to use them for PSO. I actually never even played a hand on their site, technical problems, problems depositing my money, etc. I have played on a few other sites, and have never had the problems I had with them, so I wouldn't recommend Noble to anyone.
