I plan on playing at this year's WSOP. I would like to get the opinions of any player that was there last year and where they stayed. (the good, the bad and the ugly). I am considering three possible options: The Rio. I would stay there because it's where the tournament is being held. (Duh) On the plus side, it would be very convenient. But on the minus side, I'm assuming it's a mad house. I'm also considering the Palms or the Gold Coast. Finally, I was considering the strip. Caesar's or another hotel.If anyone could shed some light on this subject, it would be much appreciated. Thanks in adv

If you see him do it again. Wait a little bit and stop the game. If it's a freeze out tournament you will know exactly how many chips should be in play. Have someone count the chips. There will be too many in play. And then declare "Just to be fair" Everyone should turn out their pockets. Not just him. Or even better have someone other than yourself - to turn out their pockets. If you catch him, make him leave. AND give him back his money. Tell him you don't want the money from a cheater.The shame he'll feel for cheating friends will top anything you can do to him physically.

I would agree that "the players" made Steve Lipscob very rich but I think the converse is true as well. I think it would be safe to assume that if the poker boom had not occurred spurred on by the WPT - Phil Gordon would not have been the host of Celebrity Poker Showdown, been able to write and sell three books on poker or be able to put out a DVD.
