  1. I really really wanna dump this hand. UTG's actions just fit perfect for 64s, I don't think A4 shows up near as much as others think. He would have had to have check called a raise and reraise with only a gutter, without a read I'd assume that doesn't happen. Preflop he limped from UTG, which signals small pairs and suited connectors alot; that could be different for full ring but at 6 max its very safe assumption. Flop he check calls, very fitting of a draw. On the turn a draw hits and hes all of a sudden wakes up with a pot sized bet, hmmmm. I'd say this is almost never a bluff. If he
  2. Not a huge fan of the turn raise, I see the reasons but I'm not sold on it. It seems like it turns our hand into a bluff as only draws and better hands call, I would not be wanting a call. Our hand has a fair amount of showdown value and it is impossible to put the villain on a range, besides that we know he probably doesn't have a pocket pair, so I would play to get it showdown as cheap as possible. Just call the turn then probably fold the river to a strong bet or if an obvious draw hits. As played, you can find a better spot. Villian very easily made two pair with an Ax type hand or a
  3. It's close but with what you say about the villian I lean towards fold. The problem with this hand is that we are dominated or a slim favorite against an opponents calling range. You have to shove any two cards the very next hand thought if your going to lay this down. So, make your choice, shove with a hand thats dominated if called, or shove any two cards and hope its folded or your only a 60% underdog.
  4. Make a normal sized 3 bet on the flop, I don't like taking the action from 360 to over 4000. Raise to probably 1000-1200 and call when he shoves. You have a ton of outs and blind vs blind I don't see how you don't get all your chips in given the chance. The problem is your raise to 10x his bet cuts down the number of hands he can call with.
  5. Don't have the actual hand history, played in on my other computer. As title states, .10/.25 NL 6 Max, on Ultimate BetEffective Stack Sizes approx $28Fairly new to the table, maybe 3-4 revolutions. I had been an absolute card rack in the first 15ish min and played a ton of pots, picked up AA twice, KK three times, QQ twice, JJ for the third time between two tables. No real reads on villian at this pointPreflop:UTG folds, MP fold, Hero raise JJ to 0.85 from CO, BTN calls, blinds foldFlop: 10, 9, 2?, rainbow (third card was low not allowing a straight, 2-5)Hero bets 1.50, BTN insta raises to 3.25
  6. I hate calling here, raise or fold all day long. Hands you beat are likely to give up since you called with two aces on baord, after raising preflop. When we are ahead its also hard to know if we are dodging 9 outs by two over cards or two outs from a smaller pair. Not the mention 27 out of 47 turn cards possilby hit the villian unless he has the smaller pair. That weak of a bet my gut instinct is to raise; until I remember I probably play the same way alot with AK. Just fold the majority of the time, raise with a read, don't call without a very very specific read.
  7. Check for pot control / to induce a river bluff, then call most river cards? Timing on the flop call would help here as villian easily has a draw or top pair, knowing if he insta called or thought then called might help to sway it one way or another. Also define fishy, stacking off a 7 or calling middle/bottom pair on the flop then folding the turn? This depends on the player for me, against an unknown I want to check behind and call or value bet most river cards.
  8. Why do people not want to value bet this river? Is he really flopping trip aces or queens and firing the flop and turn, then check raising the river, probably not. AQ would be the only other hand I would be remotely worried about. Bet and hope he makes a desperation call with what he actually held. Our hand looks weak, odds are he has a worse hand that calls more than he checked with the intention of raising. Even if he doesn't call, I'd rather not show this down and leave him guessing in future hands.
  9. So, I'm a bit drunk, but damn this is this hilarious. All they do is rip on Helmuth, its great. Fire Norman Chad and get Cheap Seats to cover the WSOP? That way the coverage is atleast worth watching because of the comedy.
  10. Correct odd to set mine or not, I'm folding this every single time. Even with the right odds I would rather have the extra 200 chips every time once the bubble gets close than 3000+ chips the 1 time in 8 we hit, assuming we stack someone everytime. This isn't a MTT where we need to accumulate chips, we simply need to outlast the others at the table. If you think this fold is nitty you should see me play. If I have more than 10x the BB, the hands I play are AK and QQ+, with the occasional JJ from late position. Also I'm never calling, its raise/reraise or fold preflop. All I want to do is
  11. I don't hate it because of the weak lead, but I don't love it either.Limp reraise from a player with a low PFR% I'm usually just calling for set value. Unless he's made this play before I wanna say his range is probably only top 4-5 hands, most likely AK in this specific hand. I think in this spot I just go by feel and table dynamics. Knowing nothing about these I wanna say just try to see a cheap turn card. At the same time, I want to raise because he is showing weaknes, and its becoming second nature to attack weaknes in position. But, not knowing the player I don't know what that weakn
  12. 100BB stacks I probably reraise the flop and go from there, without a specific read I really don't like stacking off 200BB's with one pair.Out of position I'm playing this for pot control and probably just check / calling down after the flop raise.
  13. With no reads just dump it, you don't have much invested. The times you hit your hand the board will be extremely scary for the villian so you won't get paid off very often. If you don't hit the turn you will likely have to fold to another bet anyway.
  14. Am I the only one who thinks the flop play is just, for lack of a better phrase, dumb? Oh wait, fancy play syndrom maybe?Lets see, I want to make a weak lead so if he has a hand he will reraise, at which point I 3 bet, after he already told me he has a piece of the flop and usually isn't folding because this is $10NL. Nothing about this is a good play. Make a standard bet, call a raise and hope to hit. As I said this is $10NL, very very few players are seeing you bet as weak and raising, they are raising because they have a hand.
  15. .... and it cost you $60 when you flop quads 8's and some guy turns jacks full! Don't buy in short!Bet like 2-3 on the turn to look weak and just hope some has atleast a pair and will call.
  16. What part of my post hints that I was looking for a flop with aces that I could bluff at? I'm facing a min reraise getting 4-1 to call against a player who I put on top 4 hands, wow thats a no brainer call. I wasn't planning on bluffing until he checked it to me twice. Also, how on earth does he show up with a 7 here?
  17. Fold, putting in 200BB's with this hand in never going to be protiable, even though the villian is easily bluffing here. I would check the turn in this spot pretty much every time. A solid player is going to give us credit for a hand, most likely an A, and probably not call with much worse, AJ or A10 is about it. Also, he's going to know we almost never have a 2 in our hand, which makes us susceptible to being bluffed off the best hand. Not to mention the deep stacks, play this for pot control. Odds are he might take a shot at the river and we can catch him bluffing then.

  19. For starters I said almost no value, not entirely no value. I would however want to have read on the player to know there is value in betting, against an unknown I don't see much. Also, loose and tight labels pertain mainly to preflop actions. Wether this guy is limping in 40% of hands or 5% of hands, his aggression factor is so low hes only betting/raising big hands. Against a tight player I might be more inclined to bet the turn, but for someone with a VP$IP of 40% that board hits alot of the garbage hands this guy is bound to be playing. Even if he doesn't have the straight, hes probably
  20. I saw this hand last night and didn't post right away so I could give it some thought. I absolutely hate taking a bet / fold line here. There is almost no value in making the bet, we are going to fold hands we beat and keep around hands that have us beat, asuming they don't raise us.I agree 100% against this guy we get the same information by checking. I highly doubt someone this passive is bluffing, or even semi bluffing with a flush draw, very often. I'd check / fold to any bet he makes or if he checks behind to try to value town a safe river card.
  21. This level on pokerstars is exactly as wild and crazy as its being made out to be, if not more. I started out at this game and play it from time to time just to mess around. I've shoved over 100BB's with AKs from the BB, after the whole table limped in, and been snap called by A8o. These people have no sense of hand value preflop and after the flop so huge raises and overbets can pay off extremely well. Next time you pick up AA or KK make it like 20x the BB after 2-3 limpers and watch how many of them come along for the ride.
  22. Fold the turn. Calling a large bet on the turn hoping for a split pot is probably never a good idea. Not to mention you will be out of position with another round of betting and virtually no chance of improving our hand, 1 out if you've read the villian correctly.
  23. Unless the villian has an extremely wide range I'm folding this preflop. Against most players we are up against over pairs and AK. With only 100bb's I really don't like calling this much just to set mine. I'd say you'd probably want effect stack sizes of alteast 150BB's, perferable 200+, to make up for the times we hit our set but don't stack him. Honestly none of the flops you give as examples are safe flops because so we are still crushed by the villians 3 bet range. D is a little bit worse because AK got there but A-C are all essentially the same flop. I play all 4 the same and fold, a
  24. I think the first hand is fine preflop, second really isn't a good idea. As you saw, people are calling with so many hands bumping up the pot this big without a made hand probably isn't a good idea. If you held AA or KK obviously make this play since they will call, I just wouldn't do it with AK, AQ type hands.
  25. I'm gonna way out here and say bet, bet depending on the turn card and the player. So many people in games now are adapting to LAG play and constant continuation betting by calling the flop extremely light in position, sometimes out of position even. This same player calling light on the flop is auto folding most turn cards to another bet.The thing to look at here is the call speed from the flop. If I get called right away I'm almost alway betting the turn. Quick calls almost alway mean a weak hand or a draw. So, unless an obvious draw hits I usually keep firing.I can't speak for other site
