Seeing as how im pathetic and have nothing to do tonight and in the sprit of all these stupid challenges such as the 500 sitn go challenge im going to start playing at the lowest limits pokerstars has with a 25BB buy-in and see how much i can turn it into by the end of the night. Ill only move up in the stakes once i get 25bb for the next level. BTW i normally play 5/10 limit. Any estimates im giving myself till 1am tonight so thats 3.5 hours. My guess is i go bust in the first level due to some donkey.

IMO im thinking the K7 and J7 are very likely holdings. at 3/6 players will limp with this crap all the time. I think he probably thinks he's got the best of it on the flop so he is betting it strong but with you raising preflop and playing the flop very strong he is worried you might have KJ JJ or KK so with you betting the turn he slows down then when he fills up on the river he decided to bet but then KK or JJ comes back into his head when you raise.I know my analysis doesn't make complete sense but for some reason this seems like the most logical explanation.

I was just playing on PStars and got made fun of for how I played this hand keep in mind that it is 6max and the opponent was a fairly tight aggresive agressive player. Im defineatly the opposite than of you. I want to be moving up as soon as i feel i have an edge over the game and have a good size bankroll for it. Im currently playing 5/10 with a $4000 bankroll. So im not exactly playing above my limits but i don't have 3500BB. I don't think i could be restrained enough to wait that long before i move up. Im sure once my bankroll gets to 6000 ill be moving up to 10/20. I think the problem is once my bankroll gets bigger the amount i win at the level im playing doesn't seem as big, so i move up.

This is a specific situation but i have to say the worst play IMO is the river bluff in limit holdem when there has been a lot of betting the whole way especially when its a raise. Im sorry but when the third card of a suit comes on the river and there is already 10BB in the pot and i bet my top pair and you suddenly raise yes i probably think there is a good chance that im beat but im never folding. Seriously i don't know what people are thinking when they try to make this play.

I don't know if its just me but i feel like the level of skill at pokerstars has gone down a lot. I don't know if its the fact that they are advertising like crazy now or what but even at teh 5/10 level people are really bad. There are a few regulars who i know to avoid. But other than that ive been completly crushing these games and i don't even feel like im playing that great poker. Im still making way to many mistakes but some of these players are making twice as many. Any one else feel this way i would like to know if anyone playing at the higher levels feels this way. I have a good story about a similar situation. I was playing a small SnG with some friends who don't really play a lot of poker, i was just being donkey so i busted out pretty early and i left. I was working at a resort at the time so i just went to another part of the resort about 20 minutes later my friend comes up to me steaming. He starts complaing so im like ok what happened. He Tells me that he had 88 and the flop came A85. So he floped trips and got all his money in the turn was an X and the river was an A. Then he is says "that lucky bastard rivered me" so i say " what did he have A8?"

Most of these aren't even bad beats. Who would have thought that TT would lose to QQ crazy! Ever thought that maybe your playing so tight that people are only giving you action when they have premium hands. And stop complaining every player in this forum could post a list of bad beats 10x worse and 50x as long as the one you posted. Thats why there is a bad beat forum.

Everyone knows that lotteries are -ev there is no skill involved to compensate for the large portion of lotteries pools that goes to administration and in some cases charity. The only situation where a lottery might me approaching +ev is when it hasn't been won in a very long time which i guess would be the same as an overlay in a poker tournament. So basically all my roomates are big complainers usually when im playing poker online i shuffle chips mainly to calm my nerves but apparenlty they can hear it throughout my appartment what am i gonna do now. I need a new habbit that doesn't make any noise i seriously need something to do when im playing especially the multi table tournaments i get very edgey near the end and need something to do any suggestions?
