That....is hot.BTW, my 2 cents, as a 3rd party observer....Joe Montana is the greatest QB of all-time. Period.

Nah, not stumped. I fully expected you to be able to answer it. I just asked for my own gratification, because females talking about football is almost the hottest thing ever (second only to topless females talking about football, obv.) My roommate (also female) is a giant football fan as well. We're both Seahawks partial season ticket holders (split 4 tickets with a group of friends, get 4 games each).Edit: But if going double or nothing will continue the conversation, then hell yes. Superbowl XIX, where he owned Marino, is always good, and a classic example of why Montana is the greatest ever.

Ha! 49ers spanked the Fish. Good times. (btw, two people you'll NEVER see again, Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders)Alexander was a fantasy stud, not so much anymore. Get rid of Hasselbeck, and you might have a fighting chance.

I dunno, I think Hass will be better now that he's gotten his shoulder taken care of. He was playing with a torn labrum for the last 3 years, which we (the general public, I mean) just found out about after last season. Alexander is falling off, like all backs do at his age. The O-line is alternately too old (Chris Grey) or too young (Rob Sims, Chris Spencer). It should be an interesting season, especially with all the moves that the 49ers made in the offseason.I miss Barry Sanders. I was still young when he was playing, but he was the sickest running back I've ever watched play.THREADJACK, BITCHES!

LT is king for until he retires, but Frank Gore is he next hot prsopect.Barry did it all with absolutely no help. There will never be another like him.And screw Barry's dad, he's twice the back Jim Brown was. Period.

I think John Elway has to be in the conversation.Barry Sanders is the man.Isn't it DDIDM?I like Actuary. I like DDIDM too. I really don't think they owe an apology, I haven't reread it from the beginning, but I doubt Actuary said anything over the line. DDIDM speaks passionately and often goes overboard, but at least he stands up for what he believes in. I can see why people wouldn't like him though, but he seems like a good kid to me.

Frank Gore is sick. LT is LT. In a class by himself right now, no doubt.Yeah, of backs I've watched in my life, my favorite is Walter Payton, but if I had to pick the best, I'd go Barry Sanders every time.I still love Sweetness though. I'm pretty sure I still know all the words to the Superbowl Shuffle, and I wasn't even old enough to hear it when it was first released.

What's this about Barry's dad? I missed this. So, out of Joe Montana, Tom Brady, John Elway, and Peyton Manning, who do you leave out of the Top 3?

Sweetness used to run through people, Barry made 'em miss. I'd go Barry too I think, though those old clips of Sweetness are goddam pretty.

Barry's dad, during his career, always told him that Jim Brown is the best. And to the second part...Its not even a tough decision, Brady gets the bench.I'll be back later, boys, to give you another lesson.

Lollers. The football gods are going to punish you with another outstanding Patriots season, capped off by a 4th Super Bowl.Good work.Speaking of the Patriots, does anyone argue that this last season was the single best rebuilding season of any football team ever?12-4 with not one receiver and another patchwork D? (Except Troy at WR of course, but he is getting old.)

At this point, I have to say Brady, but I see that changing. Ultimately, I think it will be Elway that gets left out of the top 3. Still top 5 though, even though I don't particularly like the guy.

Yeah, there was a quote from Barry's dad that roughly said "Barry Sanders is the 3rd best back ever, behind Jim Brown and me."

I'll try to keep my head here, but how on earth can anybody pick Peyton Manning over Tom Brady? He just beat him for the first fucking time when it mattered.Tom Brady just wiiiiiiiiiiins baby. Peyton has won once.Once.

Yeah, and Horace Grant won 3 NBA titles, but Charles Barkley won none, therefore Horace Grant is a better power forward than Charles Barkley. That argument just doesn't hold that much water for me.

Slowly.Joe Montana, flushed from the pocket, rolls right. Takes 3 steps backwards, 3 feet from the sideline, throws to back right endzone, finds Dwight Clark. TOUCHDOWN!!! IMMACULATE RECEPTION!! At least thats how I remember it, against them faggot Cowgirls. DYNASTY BEGINS!He played against Cincy, in Cincy. Im pretty sure he could handle a little dusting.
That'll move the chains!!

Who has played better every time the Pats and Colts have played, minus this last game? (Where Peyton played great, this one time) Even when it hasn't been Pats/Colts, who plays better when it matters? In the clutch? It's not even close.

Ok, so Brady's the better clutch player right now and historically.Peyton has more passing yards, touchdowns, completions (even subtracting the years that he played and Brady didn't) better completion percentage, and a better career passer rating. And it's entirely possible that he might be over his choking issues. He demonstrated better poise this last year than in years past.

I'm glad you're keeping your sense of humor Lolli.Wilt Chamberlain has the stats, Bill Russell has the rings.Wilt maybe had more talent, but you know why Bill is considered the better player?Because he was the ultimate team player, and would let nothing stop him from leading his team to victory.Tom Brady kids, is the reincarnate of this attitude. And that is why his team will die for him. And that is why they win. That is what makes him better. Those boys can have all the stats they want, the stats aren't the ultimate measure of the man as a player.Never have been, never will be.

No thanks.-Strat.Oh, and Tom Brady and Brett Favre suck.
