Whatever 1
In the past, I had one big flaw; I wasted lots of money in the pits. Thanks to a bet I made with a few friends, I quit that. It is an honor bet in which we all have to pay $10,000 if we gamble in the pits. It is the best bet I ever made in my life. There is no way I am going to play in the pits when I know that I am stuck $30,000 before I even start. I save probably $40,000 every trip, thanks to this bet.
benhoug 0
After doing some research on JC Tran, it seems the best way to beat him is to get involved in an All-In pot p/f when he's got a very big pair and you've got a tiny, little baby pair. Then you merely have to suck out on the flop, turn or river. Rinse, repeat.Just kidding, GL JC, double up and FT this *****.
Dratj 0
anyway, the way this guy played it, the way he looked etc. I was confident I knew exactly what his range was.... 22-55 maaaaybe 66 and 77, K10-KQ, QJ-QK (maybe Q10), and A3-A10First of all, there's no disrespect here. I'm just going to tell you how I see it and you (and others) can tell me why you disagree. Sometimes I get enlightened by what better players have to say. JC, with KQo and the range that you put villian on:1) you are obv. a slight dog to any pair jacks and lower, any ace2) you are a huge dog to QQ, KK, AA, AK, AQ (Even if he is LAG, he might have this if he suspects that you know he is LAG)3) you can only beat k10, KJ, QJ, Q10.Even taking out 2), I think statistically it's still -EV to make that call for another 440K in chips. Yes, if you do suckout, you will have a huge stack but chances are a race at best.

Yes, if you do suckout, you will have a huge stack but chances are a race at best.I said yesterday that JC was getting 3:2 on the call, and that he probably felt like he was approx 55:45 against the other players range. Given the range he gave, that's almost exactly what he was.
