I think we are losing a lot of value by checking those hands after Villain checks the turn. Until Villain overbet shoves the river there isn't any indication he has a big hand.
See my edit.

Quick question for you guys and would like your advice.A friend of mine who plays professionally (live poker mostly) for a living for the last 2 years, is looking to maybe get an interview with a fairly large pharmaceutical company. He has an "in", (girl who works there) and kinda knows him, but says he needs a resume' but once he gets the resume', she can get him the interview. She is fairly sure he has a good chance at getting the job. He basically is ready to go back to work if the right job (maybe this one) comes along.Long story short...What can he put on his resume for the last 2 years besides "poker player". He doesn't want to lie per se, but anything else within reason would probably help. He has worked for other major companies before and owned his own restaurant before he sold it and went pro.Was it this thread where I saw something similar to this before?Any thoughts? Thanks.

Not to say this the wrong way, but are you sure you should be playing $100NL HU if you don't realise how easy this stack off is? I've played 30k hands of low level HU and I literally cannot think of a single opponent that I would even fold AK pf to.
Tbh this was my first opponent playing 100NL after moving up from 50NL, I just wanted some clarification that it was def the right play. Also, on another note- for HU guys, do you feel you're more likely to draw a random fish if you sit first or if you join someone already sitting?

If anybody wants more superbowl squares degen action, go to SSNL on 2p2, we're trying to fill a $200/square pool. We've got like 61 sold so far, but would like to get it done in the next couple days.

lol?Think about the type of players who are sitting and waiting. The answer doesn't seem abundantly clear to you?

I would tell him and everyone else who goes pro that you should create an LLC right when you start playing so that you can say you started a company and did some consulting of some kind or whatever. In his case, I definitely would try and fill the time with SOMETHING other than poker that is related to work that he did previously. What that might be I can't say, but lots of people attempt and fail at starting their own business or consulting or whatever and that's totally acceptable.Mark

yehh the only time ill play someone already sitting is if they are a short stack.Been playing a bit of heads up the last couple months when tournaments are just unbearable. Here's my month... +200 today which is nice :club:januaryfu6.jpgI have been playing almost exclusively 20$ stacks.. but will usually play 30 and 40$ its just more common to see someone buy in 20.edit: nice month jesse.

Sigh. I realise I sound like a noob but in reality I am very new to HU and just thought the experiences of others would help provide some insight. Yes, logically I think I know the answer; but just wanted some reassurance.

hmm.. tough decision... I'm sure people will tell you to 4 bet pf .. On that board I'm not aggressive in nature so I like to call, and reevaluate river.. The bet sizing/timing on the river will tell a lot depending on opponent.

I would probably fold pre at 50 NL there. As played, I guess keep calling.

Depends on his 3bet% for me, particularly from the blinds. If it's even a bit on the high side, I'm calling it down. If it's less than say 5%, I'd probably fold pre.
