BigDMcGee 3,352
About cheating in card rooms... I don't know who this guy is, or how credible he is, but reading this made alot of sense, and sent chills down my spine. Perhaps this is paranoia, but I'm not sure... I was reading good ole RGP, looking for posts on Pot Limit betting, and I read this post, by Russ Georgiev, that was a really good O/8 pot limit post. He had a link to his website " Pokermafia.com" and I checked out it's articles, and some of which are really good... but the ones on cheating really, really made me think. this one in particular http://www.pokermafia.com/index.php?tid=fr...=23&action=zoomDo you think this guy has sour grapes? Does anyone know anything about him? Do you think his claims are valid? Would love to know...
Suited_Up 2
I don't know all the background... I'm sure others here do...But I think the consensus is that Russ is a wacko. Full of it so to speak.

BigDMcGee 3,352
time for another round of Russ Georgiev debateSorry, I'm relativly new to the FCP, so I didn't know this was an old topic... will go back and search..
ElToasto 0
This guy sounds like he was a worshiper of the show TILT. I think casinos have alot more too lose by letting cheats work the games. What is an extra 5-6 million a year when they could be exposed and lose their billions in profits. If you were a whale, would you bring 10 million to a casino you knew let stuff like this happen
Vade 0
Yes, I'm pretty sure cheating exists in casino poker, due to the well proven knowledge that there are cheats at BJ, craps, roulette, slots, etcHowever, I'm also pretty sure that it's just in ones and twos, NOT institutionalized cheating

MasterLJ 0
How do you cheat in blackjack or roulette?Past-posting, sleight of hand. There was a great History Channel special on it a few weeks back.I'm not going to advocate cheating or detail how it's done, but if you're really curious try googling.I would HIGHLY recommend NOT cheating at a casino though. I suppose what I was really trying to say is that every casino in the nation knows about these techniques, they are very out-dated, and pretty much have run their course as far as casino scams. The ones that are working today are the ones that none of us know about =P.

MilesZS 0
How the hell did another Russ G thread show up? What is this, a monthly party for the conspiracy theorists? And if so, bring some drugs or alcohol next time so that this BS makes more sense.
BigDMcGee 3,352
that pretty much sums it up... I had know I idea about Men and Daniel's beef... that makes me sad, 'cause men always makes me laugh
HtotheNootch 0
I'm an admitted conspiracy researcher. If you want I can do pages, and pages, on the Patriot Act, the WTC attacks, the Kennedy Assasination, Pope John Paul I, Pearl Harbor, and a host of other topics. That said, Russ is a complete and utter whackjob. fluxer 0
There's nothing to worry about. Just conspiracies from what appears to be an overly paranoid person that writes articles on the internet (apparently, I don't read RGP etc.)Now, if Russ said A and his associates B, C, and D had a 500-1000 table set up in the Bellagio every night for the purposes of cheating, then that would be alarming. (Until then, it's my opinion that Russ is full of shit.)
doubleatrain 0
How do you cheat in blackjack or roulette? Roulette involves taking bets back' date=' I know that[/quote']I actually just watched a TLC or History channel special on the roulette cheating. It basically involved placing a large denomination chip under a few smaller ones so that they're shadowed and un-noticed by the casino employees. If the wheel lands on the number they picked, the win a big bet, if it doesn't, they pretend they're drunk and take the bet back, replacing it with chips entirely of the smaller denomination. The theory behind it all is that the casino doesn't investigate losses, only huge wins, and when they win, the chips were on the table legitimately so there's nothing to review. buck10957 0
Yo, that dude Russ is a liar. I've read many posts of his on RGP and hes full of s*it. He used to be a cheater in card rooms himself. I'm pretty sure that Daniel dislikes him a lot too.
Thumper 0
In roulette the most common form of cheating is a team effort.DistractorBettorPost bettor and topperThe distractor will engage the coupier(sp) as the ball is slowing downThe bettor does nothing but place normal betsThe post bettor will try to drop chips onto a squir where the ball is likely to come to rest... but more importantly he/she will also add chips to the "bettor's" bet where it is also a likely resting place for the ball. The post bettor had very little chance of his bet going unnoticed... but the toping action will probably go unnoticed.***************In Black Jack teams try different methods... I will NOT include card counting as I don't feel that it is illegal.Again we have a distractorBettor(s)depending on the dealers top card and the bettors cards the distractor will be signaled to engage the dealer while the bettor(s) will try to modify their bets and or exchange cards.***************I poker team cheaters are not playing against the house but rather other players... and in some cases other teams. In casinos when you suspect cheating your best move is to notify the house and not sit at a table where the cheaters are. ( Unless the cheaters are blatent there is not much hope in the house catching them.)On line you should notify customer support with the date, time and table number and who you suspect the cheaters are. ( Good on=line sites will review the betting records of the suspected hands and see if there was any collusion. )In all cases if you suspect cheating pack up and move to a different table.P.S. Some on-line sites have very poorly written graphics programs for their animations that will leave screen artifacts... these artifacts are NOT cheating... just graphic images that were not fully erased during the animation sequences leaving a trail of dots or small characters... just ignore these artifacts and have fun.
