Wsop No-limit Hold'em: No Rebuy $1,500+$0 (fidler Updates)

Recommended Posts

Hello FCP and lurkers-Brian Fidler AKA Fidpoker is playing the No-Limit Hold'em: No Rebuy $1,500 WSOP event that started today. He will be calling on breaks and giving me updates.Break 1 (2:20 PMAt the first break Brian had already busted 5 players and had around 8,000 in chips.Break 2 (4:23 PM)"Pretty slow 2 levels. Started at 8,600 now at 8,800. I was down to about 5,500 / 5,000 or so, then I eliminated a player on the last hand. My AK of diamonds held up against A 10. I actually hit the nut flush! Good ending to a few bad levels."Break 3 (6:45 PM) Sorry, internet went down :club:"That was a tough couple levels. Had around 12,000 in chips before I ran into this hand. I had pocket queens, flop came J 10 2, I pushed all in with 2 short stacks calling. One guy had a set of 10s, I had a chance to make the straight on the river but missed it. Lost about half my stack on that one. It's not looking great, but I could double up a couple times and be right back where I was. We're going on dinner break right now and we'll be back at it around 8:00 PM PST."Brian Fidler EliminatedMiguel Mateo raises to $1,500 pre-flop, and Brian Fidler pushes all-in for $2,000 total. Mateo calls the additional $500 and flips over AJ. Fidler flips over 74. The board comes Q10910Q, and Mateo eliminates Fidler with two pair with an Ace kicker. Mateo has $25,100 in chips.

why the all in with 74 to a riase for 3/4ths of the stack? the 500 m ore to call makes it a no brainer call for the AJ....were you on a blind or something? The hand doesn't make sense as to why you pushed with that hand.

I agree, makes no sense at all unless it was frustration and short stack/button syndrome :club:

a few reasons, i was BB, was the last hand in the level (blinds were going up to 300-600 the next hand), i was the last to act, so i only had to beat the one raiser, and i only would've been left with a little more than 2x the big blind. Didn't have time to wait. Suited live cards is all i could hope for...
