Best Team That Won't Make The Playoffs

White Sox.
Starting pitching has turned the corner except for Buehrle, and when he gets it back together, gg everyone else in baseball. I still think they win the AL Central. They play the Tigers ten more times.

They would have to literally sweep the Tigers and that just isn't going to happen. Winning 6 out of the 10 does nothing much for them either. Tigers are real. As much as I have been waiting for the bottom to fall out, it just ins't going to fall out. Play with the numbers, the Tigers would have to stink it up starting right now and the Sox would have to play .800 ball the rest of the way. Sox need to worry about the Wild Card right now.

Still a 5.5 game lead over the Sox and you still have 7 more games to go before you "sweep" us. Like I said in another post, I would rather have a 5.5 game lead over you then have a better record against you. Just be ready to play in Sept. when we have a extremely sofr schedule and the reason we are 5.5 games ahead is because when we play the bad teams, we actually win. :club:

Twins.Boston is close, but they have too many holes.Yankees win east, Tigers win central, A's win west.Let's not talk about the NL though. I'm a fan of NL baseball and it hurts to see the one team I despise doing the best.If I had to pick the best team not make the playoffs in the NL, and this is totally base on paper, Astros. Talk about an upset.

I want to get more into this since I said it. The White Sox fans around the area, on the radio, and some in here always like to boast that they have this great record this year against Detroit. 9-3 to be precise. But as I stated here, we, well, we now have a 6.5 game lead over the Sox in the Central and I will take that over being 9-3 against the Sox. I made a comment that we may be losing to the Sox most of the time but the difference really is the fact that when Detroit plays a soft, bad, or less than stellar team, we actually win.So I was looking at stats this morning while looking for the status on Polanco. Very interesting and makes me feel better about my statement:Det vs KC 11-1Sox vs. KC 9-5Det vs Cleveland 12-4Sox vs Cleveland 5-7Det vs Twins 10-5Sox vs Twins 5-5Det vs Sea 5-1Sox vs Sea 3-2Det vs Sox 3-9Det holds a 6.5 game lead over the Sox. So I will concede at this point the Sox are the better team when we are against each other. But good all around teams tend to win the games they should win, and by the looks of this, that is why the Sox are down 6.5 games. Flame away.
