I made no original post to which people 'poked fun at me'. My first poke was a response to those who were poking fun at other people. My original intent in no way comes from my feelings being hurt or anything of that nature

This is out of control. No one has answered my question still. No Hints, No clues, just simply. Why do those of you who continually turn intelligent dialouge into immature and sarcastic quips cointinue to do so?Aside from the fact that it is fun, or you enjoy getting a rise out of the 'newbie'.

Sarcasm was God's greatest gift. After Boobies of course.
Yeah, I have to rank boobies #1, booze #2, and roofies #3.... sarcasm #4... I also enjoy a nice pair of slacks...

You are posting in a thread about immature and stupid names for hands. Why are you surprised to get immature and stupid responses?P.S. It is very funny getting a rise out of the 'newbie'. Its one of the best ways to have fun on the forum. You will learn.

This is why...Because the newbies get all huffy and puffy when they are poked at and most find it quite funny, as you probably would if you were to stick around for a while and watch a newbie have a Mike Matusow when he's needled....
i don't think sarcastic posts trashing on newbies or anyone else are funny most of the time. in fact, most of the time they're a huge waste of space and time. any long-timer here who thinks they're entitled to act superior to someone else needs to get some perspective, because they're ruining this board 3x as fast as newbies who post repeat threads once in awhile.if you don't want to read another thread about hand nicknames, it's better to not read it than to post about how stupid it is within the thread. but nobody here seems to be able to resist.

I was referencing the the stupidity of people who berate and mock the posts of other people on a personal level. And the fact that people seem to be beginning feel the need to put disclaimers at the end of their posts stating that what they have just said 'might be wrong' or 'this is pointless' in order to beat those who are chomping at the bit to make fun of them to the punch. Its sad that there are those people out there who seem to be going through the different threads seeking out innocent posts by people and making attempts to make fun of them, not only about the content of the post but on a personal level. It goes beyond, fun, entertainment, and simple sarcasm. It goes to the point of those who make the 'funniest' insult or most immature comment are admired and praised by their peers. It reminds me of a 7th grade cafeteria lunch table. My original intent was to inquire as to why people feel the need to act in such a manner, and I did do so knowing full well the types of responses I would get.I suppose it was a frivolous effort to begin with, I was still however hoping for someone to offer a well though out response devoid of single-minded selfishness. And my motivation is not founded on the fact that I made a reply to the topic of this thread and was made fun of about it. The idea began simply through my reading of the responses of the thread as an outside observer.DB10-2: yours is the type of reply I was hoping to receive

Quite simply because of penis envy. When we...THEY make fun of others it is to enhance our...THEIR self esteem. Kind of like the bully in school that used to beat you...PEOPLE up just for fun. We....THEY had a void to fill. I...I mean THEY, THEY compensated for an undersized .........oh hell with it I have a small weiner is that what you all wanted to hear? Well fine I said it now quit staring!!! :club: And by the way, I thought the rule was that you couldn't define a word WITH that word. :icon_think:Oh and A4 is the transvestite.
