Essay21 2,387
I'd have to see a picture of the girl and the wife before I can make a final call here.
David_Sklansky 1,904
I figured I'd pop in to let you guys know I'm in a sexual rut lately. I'd been working on a big comeback fetish, where I was going to make my partner record xer bare feet while driving a manual transmission and put it on the internet, but it turned out that I'm years behind, and that the fetish already exists and that the market is already being served. Today, like a fat person giving up on jeans and putting on an old pair of sweatpants, I returned to old school cannabutter butt sex. It was a solid run.

You gotta just believe me that it's not close. He's a complete idiot. The wife makes extremely good money, but at his salary level, that's not really a big deal.

Did you see my suggestion of Handmaids Tale role play? Lot of kinky options there.

Essay21 2,387
Handmaids Tale Spoiler You really gotta feel for Comander Waterford. He does a great job setting up this new society and his ungrateful wife and whore of a Handmaid cuck him first chance they get. Show really drives the point home that no matter what, no matter the time or place, women cannot be trusted.

Essay21 2,387
Give a guy a chance. He only had a few cracks at the booty with the whole once a month thing. He never should have allowed another man to live on the premises. Classic mistake. I thought they really rushed her feelings towards the driver. But who knows maybe if really is the Comanders
Essay21 2,387
Having just finished the season, it is clear that this show is in no way superior to Westworld. Westworld season 1 was some of the finest television ever made. Handmaids Tale is good, no doubt. But Westworld is on another level. It's an absolute joke Westworld didn't win the writing Emmy, let alone best show. But I guess it wasn't able to provide think pieces on the dangers of trump like Handmaids Tale. InternetExplorer 2,609
Well maybe the friend roommate is a dynamo in the sack. Just sexual napalm like Jessica Simpson. I never met the wife. I'm just saying, on looks alone, the guy clearly should have just moved forward with the divorce. He didn't need the money, and he almost certainly would have netted out a good amount in the splitting up of assets. How did he think it was going to end? Now, the marriage is done, and his girlfriend wants nothing to do with him. I don't know how he could have played it worse.

Of all the major awards, the Emmy's are probably the least in line with what I'd give the McGee Award to, so I have zero expectation for them to get it right. I think Handmaids is better than most that win most years, so I can't work up your rage. I can see how the themes of it are particularly salient to half the voters, and it's a fine show. I think it's much more egregious not to nominate Young Pope, than not to award it to Westworld. I don't think YP should have won (Westworld should have won) but my god, it was great and deserved nomination.

I know I shouldn't care about the Emmys because they are dumb, I mean The Wire was never even nominated (I don't think). But t I watch a lot of tv obviously and I'd like to see the best shows rewarded. I mean Jesus we get it with Veep already. I think it's a joke to give Handmaids Tale writing, directing, three acting awards, and best show. That has to be a historic night for any one show and that show doesn't deserve that. Best actress is a lock, but the others are liberal bullshit, I would argue. Aunt Lydia is in the show for five minutes total and wasn't anything special. It rustled me hard. InternetExplorer 2,609
You're a true romantic It's true So now the wife is grilling the roommate for details, when did sex start, how often. I think she confirmed that they were sleeping together, which of course the wife then lays into her about having sex with a married man. I told her that nothing good can come of further discussions, and hopefully she stops corresponding. This is why I probably would not have sent the letter to the wife to begin with. brvheart 1,757
I would think it would be easy to handle for the lady. "Your husband lied to me, you idiot. If you want more information, don't say another negative thing about me. Don't even imply one or I'm done." In the same situation, I would even meet with her in person as long as she promised to not blame me for anything.

InternetExplorer 2,609
He's extremely not what you would expect for the situation. The type of guy to maintain two relationships with this kind of deceit, you expect some physically appealing alpha male type, playing on insecurities or whatever to keep the game going. Polar opposite. Overly nice and supportive, not attractive, etc. I am dealing more with stereotypes than real world experience here obviously.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
He is probably just decent looking enough to not be off putting. He was probably actually unhappy in his marriage and was super attentive to the side piece, charming enough; funny, and overall "good guy". It's not that hard if you can make em laugh, treat them welll and be charming. Or so I hear
InternetExplorer 2,609
He traded on the nerdy, nice guy thing. Fun to hang out with. Relatively thin. InternetExplorer 2,609
My girlfriend and I were laughing last night about a completely fabricated story he fed the roommate near the end. He worked in a trust department, and claimed he secured some huge donation to a charitable org from a wealthy family in town, and that this had led to a job offer in some other city with that org as a donation-courting person (like frau). The important detail being, he was saying he definitely had to move 3+ hours away to take this job--prepping an exit plan for the relationship. The wife was baffled when she heard this story, I guess. In retrospect, if I had listened at all when my girlfriend was relaying this info to me, I should have realized how full of shit he was, based on reading frau's insider take over the last few years. The thing I find so interesting about all of this is how it almost feels like mental illness, just stepping through the layers of untrue things this person consciously had to devise and maintain over time.
