BigDMcGee 3,352
Who would leave sunny Orlando, FL for Lincoln, NE I mean, you're preaching to the choir about how terrible Lincoln, and I know you're taking a shot at the state, but the biggest reason is Nebraska's in a power conference and CF is in the AAC. Beyond getting paid 5-10 times more at Nebraska, he'd get a chance to play for national titles, if he succeeds here. The reason I want Frost so badly is he's from Nebraska ( as in, was born and grew up here) and won a national title here in 97, so he both knows the heights Nebraska can get to, and might just appreciate being the man here. I would be afraid of other coaches using Nebraska as a stepping stone to the SEC or the NFL, but I think there's a real chance that being a coaching legend at Nebraska would appeal to Frost in particular. They have to hire him, and they have to do it now.
Theraflu 1,035
I'm not sure I've ever felt a bigger juxtaposition in sports feelings than hoping for a possible title run for the last two months, and Hayward almost severing his foot 5 minutes into the season.

They have to hire him, and they have to do it now. I was totally trolling the state. Of course he would rather coach at Nebraska and a big 5 conference for 3-4 times the money. I’m sure he’s making over a million at UCF and no chance Nebraska gives him $5 million to start. Now, the problem with places like Nebraska, Michigan, Penn Stare, etc, they are gonna forever live in the past and never get back what they had. Problem is, their fans will never lower the expectations.

At best, and it's a stretch, they got out of the east If Isiaahahiaih comes back healthy, maybe the Cavs are clearly better. If Gordon/Kyrie/Horford mesh well, Jaylen plays as good as he looked tonight, and Tatum isn't a stiff, then those teams could be pretty close. And sure, Golden State is the best. But all it takes is one unexpected ankle disappearance from KD or Steph or Dray, and then they aren't unstoppable. But I guess those kinds of injuries don't happen?

You’re more bitter than Hayward himself. Maybe now you guys will be a scrappy team that fights for the playoffs. Racist Boston would love that. Oh wait, the great white hope is gone. I felt so bad for Hayward. Not for Boston fans though. Most of you have been fcking insufferable for over a decade

Wasn’t until the World Series and coming back from down 3 against the Yanks where you really started ramping it up Scott Frost makes 2 million a year, BigD. No chance Nebraska gives him more than 5 milly. UCF asking boosters for more money to get him and his staff raises. Apparently, he has a pretty loyal staff.

Nebraska's in the middle of no where, and the states it borders aren't much better recruiting grounds. I don't know Nebraska is doomed forever to live in the past, I don't think Frost is living in the past ( even though he was an NU QB). I think his offenses are quite innovative and forward thinking, which is why I want him so badly. But I know what you mean. Nebraska fans expect us to be a top 5 program, and unless we get an absolute coaching savant, that will never happen. Riley ain't that.
SuitedAces21 2,722
no reason why we can't be better than wisconsin, iowa, and minnesota. that's all anybody wants right now. start there, and the build towards the rest. we can't beat lowly, stinking, no good Iowa. its disgraceful. Essay21 2,385
Up has become down. Iowa state is good at football. At work, I’ve grown angry with management. They hired 5 new sales people. And yet the trust side, the people who do all the work, remains under staffed. No longer will I go in on the weekends for a company that pulls this shit.
Essay21 2,385
Check out Mindhunter on Netflix. I’m enjoying it. Blew my mind to find out he lady playing Wendy isn’t the same lady from th leftovers. I still can’t be sure it’s not the same person.

Sales people pay your salary for compliance and operations. The company doesn’t care about you. In fact, they hate that they need to have you around. As someone that hates sales and likes compliance and operations, I feel your pain
Essay21 2,385
Problem is none of the sales people we already have are any good, so instead of firing them they just hired more people who, so far as I can tell, aren’t any good either.
