Southern Buddhist 1
well yeah, but I mean it's in detroit. you've got to get the fuck out of there. That was brilliant.Just an afterthought I meant to post about Cymbeline but didn't: for the most part it lacks the transcendence of Shakespeare's best, but it does have the distinction of containing the passage that I want on my tombstone:Fear no more the heat o' the sun,Nor the furious winter's rages;Thou thy worldly task hast done,Home art gone, and ta'en thy wages:Golden lads and girls all must,As chimney-sweepers, come to dust. That's the beginning of a larger song, the rest of it just as pretty.Fear no more the frown o' the great;Thou art past the tyrant's stroke;Care no more to clothe and eat;To thee the reed is as the oak:The sceptre, learning, physic, mustAll follow this, and come to dust.Fear no more the lightning flash,Nor the all-dreaded thunder-stone;Fear not slander, censure rash;Thou hast finish'd joy and moan:All lovers young, all lovers mustConsign to thee, and come to dust.No exorciser harm thee!Nor no witchcraft charm thee!Ghost unlaid forbear thee!Nothing ill come near thee!Quiet consummation have; And renowned be thy grave! AmScray 355
Fly-by commentary on the last few pages of this thread, sans contextualization. * Speedz is a Jew (but a good one, although I'm sure his jew parents were disappointed when the medical career of Dr. Speedz involved advancing his knowledge in the field of livestock husbandry) . * No. * Perhaps, but I think there are other factors involved.* Ever heard of "Moxie"? Pretty much only exists in a few Northeastern States these days. A large part of the reason Moxie sucked (or, had the potential to suck) as a fountain drink was because Soda Jerks in their day would 'juice' their syrup to carbonated water ratio thinking that they were doing their customers a favor by adding more goo. The result was inconsistency and a product that might suck depending on who was pouring it. It is entirely possible that McDonalds alters (or, contracts for a special version of) their Coke Syrup based on what food scientists and focus groups say. This was bad for Moxie, however, and if you've ever had Moxie, you'd understand why. It's a cross between cough syrup, raw ginger roots and saccharine. I do love the stuff. * Jesus Harold Christ, give it a rest already with that bullshit. No one cares and it's hilarious how much you're lacking in self-awareness to even continue to posting here (although, based on what's known of your life as you've posted it here on these forums, 'lacking in self awareness' seems to be a prevailing theme in everything you do; if you were cognoscente of how people like you were viewed by the world at-large, you'd most likely become a hermit or kill yourself. It doesn't work in that context because you're using a noun like it's an adjective. Also, you didn't close the bracket. SLOPPY

ADoh god, I feel like a shoe. guess that means I've gotta go back and rewatch everything again. but right now I've got the last two discs of freaks and geeks, and then after that I'm starting on sons of anarchy, and I had started back on seasons one and two of the wire recently (the only ones I managed to download before I recently got booted from my torrent site for inactivity) and wanted to rewatch the rest of those so... You'd be amazed (or wouldn't actually) at how many times I heard, "Well, if you don't get into vet school, at least you'll have all the pre-requisites to apply to medical school, and I keep hearing that med school is much easier to get into. Just something to think about."'lacking in self awareness'I'm pretty sure this person is very self-aware and just doesn't care how he or she perceived, which I like in a person. Nice try, but this sticks out like a sore thumb. It doesn't work in that context because you're using a noun like it's an adjective.Er, wasn't it just a spelling error? ...you probably know that and were making a joke. Sorry. Sorry.I gave him the benefit of the doubt, i.e. assumed he was just trying to show off by using an obscure word. It is a real word, and it almost works in that context. If it was a spelling error then it was a pretty outlandish and flamboyant attempt at spelling "cognizant".

SBriand 4
well yeah, but I mean it's in detroit. you've got to get the fuck out of there.HahaI think the hobos live the Marathon for all the free clothes. We finished our 5K run and left to go out to breakfast in a nicer part of town. We had to drive on part of the marathon route and all over the ****ing road was clothes. Tons and tons of clothes and a lot of hobo's picking up those clothes. Since it was freaking cold when the race starts I the runners put on layers and then just drop them on the route as it or they get warmer.Edit: Squirt. I used to like that when I was a kid and I don't think I have seen it around anymore. Might check that out.
