Suited_Up 2
It would suck, but I think I can take it better when I get beat by a huge hand. I just wish it would happen to me in the badbeat room at party. I want my 100k or whatever it's at now.
joker12676 0
I didn't see it but my table got the gory details from the next table over when a guys quad queens ran into quad aces. Its doesn't happen often but it does happen hopefully not too me though.

stylez09 0
Last night on party poker i was playing a 25/NL game. I limp in UTG with 33 and everyone limps to the button who raises the blind to $1.50. 9 players call putting about 13 dollars in the pot. Flop comes 8-3-8. Im am yelling sweeeet! I check, and it checks all around. Turn card is another 3. I know i have this pot so bad so i check again hoping to induce a bet. Late postion player bets out 2 dollars. I call and another player calls. 20 dollars in the pot now. Last card is a Jack. I make a value bet of $4. Next player raises all-in which was about $86. Next Guy folds, I call instanly with my remaing $30. Showdown---the chips start moving his way..WTF!!!? that could only mean----yeah he had 88. I was soo mad...but i was the dog the whole way. Does anyone here think they could lay down quads? if you think this story is too crazy to believe...i can get my hand history.

UglyJimStudly 0
has anybody ever seen a 4 of a kind get beat by a higher 4 of a kind? That would have to be a pretty sick beat to takeThe bad beat jackpot at a local casino is paid out when:- Aces full of 10s or better are beat by quads or better- Both players use both hole cards (kickers don't count)As I understand it, quads over quads is the most common scenario under which the jackpot is paid out, followed by high straight-flush over low straight-flush. Somebody hits the jackpot about once ever 3 weeks or so on average, and I think the last two (in late January and mid-February) were quads-over-quads scenarios. Ballpark it at something like once every 25000 hands or so - rare, but not unheard of.

AceyDeucy 0
A buddy of mine went to Vegas for his 21st. He sits down with $40 ( I think) in a pot-limit game. Through a combination of luck and skill he has run it up past $500. Then the infamous flop comes:6-6-JHe bets, gets raised, and through the wonders of pot-limit, soon both are all-in. He turns up his 6-6, and find himself against the nut boat, when his adversary turns up J-J. Of course, being on the this thread all I need to say is: It came on the river. This hand happened at something like 2 AM, and they had stopped raking for the bad beat jackpot a few hours was a sad story about losign a $1000 pot, and being down $40. Guest XXEddie
its happened at a WSOP final table, which I think Layne Flacked was involved, he flopped four tens and slowplayed them which allowed his opponent to hit runner runner for quad fours
KDawgCometh 2
there was a famous quads over quads hand from the 2003 World Series No Limit event which Phillip Marmostein lost to Layne Flack. Marmostein hit Quds first and Layne hit it on the River( I think)
Jubba 0
The other day on Party at the $.50/$1 HE I have 10-10 and I raised pre-flop. Two callers and the flop comes: Flop: 8-10-4 (rainbow)I bet, I get raised. I re-raise (obviously), and get re-raised. Betting is capped and I'm feeling set over set here, or a ridiculously overplayed overpair.Turn: 4Now I have top boat. The only hand that worries me is 4-4, but with top boat I'm going to bet and raise, in case the other guy has 8-8 or 8-4 or 10-4. Betting is capped and the river is the case 10. Betting is capped again and I win with my quad 10s.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------***** Hand History for Game 1602565581 *****$0.5/$1 Hold'em - Wednesday, February 16, 22:46:48 EDT 2005Table Table 25385 (Real Money)Seat 1 is the buttonTotal number of players : 8Seat 3: Todd1057 ( $50.68 )Seat 7: elvisteve ( $0.25 )Seat 9: jhemer ( $13.5 )Seat 8: Jubba1 ( $19.25 )Seat 10: ohiomarket ( $11.75 )Seat 1: Dragonfleye ( $17.75 )Seat 5: daweiproject ( $24.5 )Seat 6: jayn10 ( $28 )Todd1057 posts small blind [$0.25].daweiproject posts big blind [$0.5].jayn10 posts big blind [$0.5].** Dealing down cards **Dealt to Jubba1 [ Tc Ts ]Dragonfleye: nhjayn10 checks.elvisteve is all-In.Jubba1 raises [$1].jhemer folds.ohiomarket calls [$1].Dragonfleye calls [$1].Todd1057 calls [$0.75].elwoodblu has joined the table.daweiproject calls [$0.5].jayn10 folds.** Dealing Flop ** [ 8h, Td, 4h ]auntnickrule has joined the table.Todd1057 checks.daweiproject checks.Jubba1 bets [$0.5].ohiomarket folds.Dragonfleye raises [$1].Todd1057 folds.daweiproject folds.Jubba1 raises [$1].Dragonfleye raises [$1].Jubba1 calls [$0.5].** Dealing Turn ** [ 4c ]Jubba1 bets [$1].Dragonfleye raises [$2].Jubba1 raises [$2].Dragonfleye raises [$2].Jubba1 calls [$1].** Dealing River ** [ Th ]Jubba1 bets [$1].Dragonfleye raises [$2].Jubba1 raises [$2].Dragonfleye raises [$2].Jubba1 calls [$1].Dragonfleye shows [ 4s, 4d ] four of a kind, fours.elvisteve doesn't show [ Jc, Kc ] two pairs, tens and fours.Jubba1 shows [ Tc, Ts ] four of a kind, tens.Jubba1 wins $23 from side pot #1 with four of a kind, tens.Jubba1 wins $1.75 from the main pot with four of a kind, tens. troutsmart 0
A rumor is often mentioned, an urban legend really, of a former high- limit player gone bust, playing in a low-limit game and laying down 4 of a kind when he knew he was beat by both a straight flush and royal flush. I wrote the hand down as it was told to me by a player who supposedly witnessed this extraordinary laydown. None of you would believe it though, so we'll spare you the details. lol

It progresses from there, the minimum is not quads beating A's over 10's.

Have not played on the site much since, PP is getting to be a bit much after the last few upgrades.
SportsW234 0
Actually it went Flack flopping quad tens, checking them on the flop, then Phllip Marmostein hitting a full house on the turn, Layne bet and Marmostein called on the turn, and all the money went in on the river.
