dscoot 0
ty for answering this, if u do. if not , thats fine, others are welcome to respond to this thread with ideas/opinionsi was wondering what made them decide on 50k as the tourny fee? was anything less ever mentioned? or perhaps even a higher buy-in?also, when u guys set this 50k tourny up, what was your realistic goal of entries? (not to boast but i have talked to a few pro's, some with nearly endless bankrolls, and was a little suprised to hear the majority of them say they would not be playing in the tourny, most likely due to the high entry fee) (granted i only talked to 4 pro's)also, can u elaborate on why horse was chosen, rather than say shoe, or perhaps another style of rotating game that doesnt fit to a name well?and finally , do u have any info on whether any satellites will be run for this tourny, either at the rio in the weeks be4 the event or perhaps online?ty
dscoot 0
oh yeah, about they payouts , will they be the traditional 1 out of 8 get paid, or will more people make the money due to the higher entry fee?
aucu 3
50 would be a big field for this one.
dscoot 0
50 would be a big field for this one.maybe, but 50 entries means 5mil in the prize pool, and such a small field will pay first close to 40%. that would make first around 2mil +

Bubba83 0
I'm anticipating 100 entries. I think most pros that are good at multiple games will play in this event. The larger entry fee was chosen to increase the chances that it will be a smaller event chock full of pros. I think HORSE was chosen because they used to have a HORSE tournament that they took away. gilbertology 0
I've talked to Only 5 or 6 pros about the 50k HORSE tourney, and only two said they weren't planning on playing. By my math that means at least 67% of pros are playing so there will probly be about 1500 entrants.

There was a lot of pros that were really pissed off about it being taken away. This tourney will show the true champion of poker.

tufat23 0
maybe its $50k entry so that its 90% live pros, with few online qualifiers (if any).A lot of pros have been reported as saying HORSE should be the main event so this is a backhand way of making it the main event without actually calling it that and upsetting advertisers/tv sponsors.200 entrants would be sick. what they gonna do if the prize pool for horse is more than the main event?
