Project 69 0
The gentleman of Poker has announced that he is creating a blog of his cash game success. This should be interesting, as it's kind of in the air that the man isn't much of a cash game player. Click this http://www.philhellmuth.com/phil-hellmuth-...poker-blog.htmlPlease make fun of me for trying to start a thread
MikeR 0
For the record, I have beaten the $1,000-$2,000 and higher "big limit mixed games" for a lot of money, despite what you may have heard. Here is every play I've made lifetime, so far. In about 1996 at the Hall of Fame Poker Classic, I won $170,000 in the $2,000-$4,000 game. In Dec., 2003 I played $1,000-$2,000 and won $90,000. Then in Nov. 2005 in the $2,000-$4,000 game at the Bellagio, I won $116,000 or so. The next week, I won about $230,000 in that game, and the very next day I won another $73,000 or so. Then a bit of losing came along in December, where I played Friday night and lost $80,000, Saturday night I lost $40,000 or so, and Sunday I lost $53,000 all in the $2,000-$4,000 game. I was super tired all three plays, and should have slept Friday night, rather than hop into the game. I did lose $150,000 in the "High limit Poker" games on GSN over two plays, luckily I only had 20% of myself in that game, vs. 100% in all of the other games mentioned above and below.Wow. I guess everyone that's ever played with Phil in the last 20 years must have been wrong about his cash game skills.

Guest
Didn't he just lose 100k a month or two ago ? DN was talking about it in his blog about how Phil lost the last of his buy-in to berry's trip 2's.

KowboyKoop 0
I'm sure if you went back and looked at all of Phil's cash game records, he'd be a pretty big winner. Just probably not at the very highest levels with a lot of other cash game pros. I am sure you can say that for a ton of pros out there. I am sure the blog will be entertaining, but I am also sure it will do nothing but make the dumb "Hellmuth-haters" hate him even more.
