casino shooting - one fatality

Recommended Posts

Sometimes the one telling you not to gamble isnt who you would expect. You shouldnt gamble if you're lonely or have had too much to drink."The main casino remained open Saturday evening with only the crime scene cordoned off."But if there is a shooting, you should go ahead and keep gambling.

We do not know the details and it is a bad situation but is anyone really surprised to hear this happened?

I have the right attitude so I don't worry about "losing" it, but I have seen my fair share of guns in the casinos. Luckily I am a Veteran and possess a Florida concealed weapons license as it wasn't that difficult a process to obtain my Nevada license. They say there will be a agreement soon between FL and NV to accept each others license but I didn't want to wait.

Thats nothing new.............. a while back, there was a tourney at the Bike and some old man had a heart attack and dies at the table. The rest of the players continued to play while he was on the ground and the paramedics were tryin to revive him.

So you're packing heat when you go to a casino, and possibly to Burger King as well?

I don't know maybe it's just me. But what the hell are casinos thinking when they decide to allow guns. Like im sorry but thats gotta be the dumbest thing ive ever heard. Firstly after some idiot hitting a 2 outter after having to right of even being in the hand we all have felt that we would like to seriously hurt that person. Most of us can control this urge but for the few that can't why give them the option shooting the other person. Not to mention the idiots playing table games losing their life savings who probably want to kill themselves.

Thats really unfortunate. It's sad people have to do retarded things like that. Too bad the officers didnt gun down the shooter. Maybe they did I'm confused about the article. Did the one guy shoot another player then the officers, or did the guy shoot the officers then get killed. CNN didn't write that article too well.

First, sad story to read.Second, I doubt its legal in any casino to carry a concealed weapon. Even in states where they do allow people to carry hand guns, usually a private business is still allowed to prohibit them. It wouldnt suprise me at all if there's some fine print in the law that says you cant take a gun into any establishment where there's gambling.

firstly, CNN didn't write the article.Secondly, I think it's pretty clear that the shooter was the only one who died.from the article:"Investigators were still trying to determine who fired first. They were questioning a woman believed to have been with the suspect, a man described as about 50 years old who died at the scene."

What did they do with his chips?Do they get removed from the table/Tourney or evenly distributed?
