Merby 3
One of the things I've been messing around with this month is bvb play.I heard somewhere that at these stakes, it can be profitable to raise the majority of your SB when it's folded to you, and then if you're called just play fit or fold. It seems passive at first, but the majority of your value is coming from all the times the BB folds since most players won't defend their BB as often as they should when the SB open raises.I've only got 123 hands so far this month in these spots, but I'm up almost 4 BI's. Ran good in some spots, but not losing anything major in the pots I don't win. Those little pots you win when they fold pre do add up over time. These also come up live. At my local 3/6 NLHE game, almost everyone chops the blinds if it is folded around to the SB, but I always felt that I was losing a tonnnnnn of value here, so I made it known to everyone that I NEVER chop my blind. I have easily made 1 BI, and probably a lot more just from BvB play since making that switch. Indeed, Stupidhead was jealous enough that he started following the same policy. Probably play about 4SB's a session live; Having it fold all the way around to the SB in a live game happens about twice a year in my experience. Also depending on the rake structure it might be better to chop. I feel sorry for the fish in this hand. Poor bastard, probably got the maximum from me too before the major suckout. Merby 3
Sample size ? Probably play about 4SB's a session live; Having it fold all the way around to the SB in a live game happens about twice a year in my experience. Also depending on the rake structure it might be better to chop.Sample size may be low, but not ridiculously low -- probably around twice a night. But it is ridiculously +EV in those spots. Stupidhead can confirm this. They don't take a rake until post-flop and since I will never take the opportunity to limp the SB or check the BB after a limped SB, any pot that *does* get raked will be large enough to expect one. KingJames 11
@88 I normally go to $2.50 as I like to give myself a good price on bluffs.
