Pros That Seemingly Dislike Daniel

Recommended Posts

I know Daniel and Mike are friends.. but again, I don't think Phil Gordon saying he isn't surprised Daniel is getting divorced would fall under "harmless needling". What kind of a person should get divorced?
That's Phil Gordon for you. He thinks he thinks he's better than everyone. I would call it little man's syndrome but he's like 8 foot tall so he doesn't have that excuse. When you here him talk about poker he thinks his way is better than everyone elses. He constantly berates the style of playing small pots which like he does yet Hellmuth is always going deep in tournaments. When a Phil Ivey who doesn't care for tournaments right now is going all in all the time early and trying to win big pots early in tournaments leaving to the win or bust style. He thinks Ivey is a genius. Phil Gordon likes to raise more and be more aggressive than the Hellmuth's or Daniel's of the world that beat people before after the flop. Both styles work with those players skill level.

So, your logic is..Phil Gordon doesn't like Daniel's style, so he hates Daniel as a person?I remember watching an event at the Red Rock casino.. from like 2005.. daniel was there, forrest, clonie, phil, and that black haired female poker player (good description).. Daniel counted Phil's chips for him, and Phil looked at him like he was going to kill him.. lol But again, Daniel > said players

I'm pretty sure there was a whole thread on here just recently about what we all thought about what Phil thinks about Daniel. We didn't care then and we don't really care now. But honestly, if it concerns you this much, maybe you could offer to foot the bill for some therapy for the two. I heard Balloon Guy has fabulous rates.

Phil Gordon would be at the top of a short list of poker players that I think have the potential to go postal. I don't hate "Dry Toast," as I prefer to call him, but I feel sorry for him. He wants people to like him soooooooo bad it makes him come off like the guy who just doesn't fit in but isn't getting the hint. As for Barry Greenstien, lol, me and him get along VERY well and I'd consider him a friend for sure. He needles me hard and I try to needle him harder. When we played heads up at Wynn a while back I came up with the following zinger, "My goal here is to bust Barry so that I can start staking him in the 40-80 games. He's a good player." or something like that. I don't really do "beefs" anymore I just don't really care. A while back Gordon had me on his radio show and acted like, for lack of a better word, a complete douche bag. Dry toast is just a very strange dude.

I enjoyed watching Phil Gordon on the rerun of commentators week of PAD. He continued to try to wow the table with his amazing reads. He was right approximately 0% of the time. He's made 'making the room uncomfortable with your body language, comments, and facial expressions' an art form.

Sorry, there, "Jennings". I was just wondering why all the "hate" was focused on my favorite poker player, maybe? Maybe, Jennings? Hmmm.. maybe? Maybe I made post to ask these questions, maybe? Hmm.. Jennings, maybe? Could I ask a question? Hmmm, Jennings? Could I? Yes? No?
LOL. This post was on the first page... and it is one of the most retarded but awesome posts I've ever seen on here.

The needling thing just makes the game more fun to watch. I gave the example of Mike the Mouth. When I first started watching poker a few years ago and saw you play I hated it. But as I've gotten to play the game and learned the game more and I watched you actually play I realized that you are usually using that style to help you. Especially with Mike the Mouth because he would blow off all his chips to you most of the time. He's actually gotten better over the last couple of years to where he doesn't do that as much. But still those little needling things going on are just good for the game and make it more entertaining. Probably for those doing the needling also.

down with annie dukehoward seems like a great guysame with raymerphil gordon seems like a great guy from all his work on that Bravo poker show. what is the guy worth -- $25 mil??? the public can be jealous of successful rich people. maybe that's why he has so many haters. eric lindgren comes off like a complete smart ass/semi-boozer. but it would be ridiculous for me to know if any of this is the truth based on TV coverage of poker events.if a guy tries to be liked by his peers then i see that as a good thing. so what if someone is a bit quirky in the process.
