I need to stop blowing money on weekend getaway. I need to spend less at the campus , eat at home , drink less , eat less , sleep less.yeah those are my goals for now. I do it based on hands and I find that to be the most satisfactory. I believe I'm a 1-2bb winner so for me I just focus on putting in the hands. Focusing on the money makes me play a lot worse. No_Neck 0 Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 tough session last night, lost two buyins to beats, ei King high flush to A high flush for 200BB as well as others, then I went on super agro tilt and lost two more buyins before calling it a night. I was hoping to get the bankroll up to 3k this month, we will see...I hate when I play for 10+ hours only to have to quit down. BAH!!!! The trouble with variance is that I am guaranteed to have a losing session or two (or three... or four...) If I have session-by-session goals, then I am far more likely to try to chase that loss when the table dynamics are not in my favour.I prefer to set winrate goals over large sample sizes. For example, set a winrate goal for every 10,000 hands (like 3PTBB/100 hands), and the rest will take care of itself. Link to post Share on other sites

The good news is I got $130 on Stars back that I'd loaned to a friend and have run it up to $800 so I almost have a real roll for 0.25/0.50 PLO. The bad news is that there was some tilting/moving up/running good along the way, so I've already played 1/2 PLO, 5/10 HORSE, and 5/10 TD with my small roll, and it's going to be pretty hard to stick to playing 0.25/0.50 PLO now. Zach6668 513 Posted July 11, 2007 Share Posted July 11, 2007 So I played another 900 hands or so today, and had one of my best winning days, immediately after one of my worst losses.Here's the graph over the last 2 nights.Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!AND, I finally was able to reload my bonus account, so I cleared $40 worth of that, and like 10k ARPs over this stretch, which is about $150 worth, plus prolly another $150 or so in RB.
