  1. The series is obviously the Mavs to lose and I am no way a Heat fan in the least.... I think its cheap for veterans to cling on the contenders like Payton and Walker have and I don't like Wade for some reason I can't figure out.. I've always disliked Shaq, especially when he and Kobe destroyed my Sixers, but to ever say he is overrated is ridiculous. This is his 6th trip to the finals and his third team. He may not be as dominate as he was before, I tend to think he was at his most dominant in college, but he will go down as the third greatest center in history and perhaps the most talented
  2. I'll go against popular opinion and say no.. What happens if St. Louis becomes a losing club and loses the talent they have protecting Pujols and teams stop pitching to him ala Bonds 2003-2005? He's a great talent but there's too many variables, imagine if Bonds was still with the Pirates right now, would he have 400 homers?
  3. It may be a stretch to win the NL Cy young this year but Brett Myers has been remarkably consistent the last two years and is off to another great year. Maybe not this year, but he has the stuff to be apart of the race.
  4. The more I've thought about MVP voting, I don't understand why Dirk Nowitzki barely got any conisderation. His team has arguably less talent than the Suns, completely changed their philosophy and won more games than Nash or Kobe's team. He's obviously the teams star, a remarkably efficient player and also clutch as hell. I think he gets shorted due to the lack of flash in his game which is a shame.
  5. You really have to love the sensationalist personalities that ESPN employs. Why not just have Whitlock co-host Quite Frankly with Steven A. Smith so they can make racist jabs at every white player or coach during the show. They can even have Scoop Jackson call-in to give a report how the NBA exploits black players. Its sad that some of the black journalists on ESPN resort to these tactics while guys like Michael Smith and JA Adande actually think on a realistic and don't get there own shows. In Jesse Jackson related ridiculous race motivated moves news..The Associated Press reports:The Rev
  6. I'm pretty sure the producers and creators of the show have said the island wasnt purgatory from the first season. The best part of the show is how many storylines are going at once and will no doubt all come to a head on the season finale. From what I read a while ago, we are supposed to learn why the plane crashed by the end of this season but that may have changed. My guess would be that the penultimate eposide of the season will be the main characters getting ready to confront the others, and the finale will be the reveal that Michael is working with the Others to get his son back and t
  7. Woody Paige at least knows that no one takes him serious so he acts crazy to pander. Bayless thinks he is a hard hitting journalist but all he does is unleash ridiculous comments and predictions to stir the pot. Bayless is definately in my top 5 people I would attempt to puch if I ever met him, even though a punch probably wouldn't mess up his plastic/botox face.
  8. "Daddy's Little Girl is My Little Slut".....purchased by my brother and currently on display on his car.
  9. If you want to argue something ridiculous, instead of debating Kobe/Nash, how does Tim Duncan get 33 points in MVP voting? 18.6 pts and 11 rpg as an MVP? Somebody was saying that it was ridiculous that Deron Williams got a first place vote for Rookie of the Year, how about sportswriters even considering Tim Duncan this year. While he is unquestionably a top 3 player when healthy, he wasnt even a top 20 player this year. Any votes cast for him were more bias and discriminate that any given or not given to Kobe.
  10. I wouldn't put Big Baby in the Tractor Traylor/fat college center category quite yet, he's really agile for his ridiculously heavy frame and he makes clutch shots pretty regularly. I would put him in the middle of the Charles Barkley to Tractor Traylor spectrum... As for Morrison, I wonder if he will have to keep the porn moustache after he signs his first Pony/Converse sneaker deal... (wouldnt it be sweet if he wore chuck taylors?)
  11. Aldridge is another guy who could go #1 without much criticism but it must be concerning to most GM's and owners to watch him be repeatedly pushed out of the block by Big Baby from LSU, in that game it didnt seem like he got a shot that he wasn't fading away on or shot from an uncomfortable position. Big Baby isn't on anyone's draft list, and I'm guessing that most NBA players are stronger and more mobile than he is. Thomas seems like he has a Garnett-like skillset while Aldridge has Camby-like skillset. Not saying either is a bad thing.
  12. Tyrus Thomas wouldnt fit in to well with the Bobcats at #1 but would do well with the Bulls at #2 with the Knicks pick
  13. I would say that West is the most improved but its almost a toss-up between him and Diaw. Both have had pretty terrible careers before this year and have came out of nowhere. The reason I would say that West is truly more improved is because of the Phoenix offense and the fact that its so wide open that multiple guys on their team are having career years and Tim Thomas scored 20 in his debut for them after not playing in months.
  14. Does anyone else sprint to the bathroom while they are drinking and playing cards and accidently knock into things because of the fear of auto-folding Aces or Kings?
