talking about playing over your BR....Tell that to all of the winners of WPT, and WSOP events over the past 5 years who arent top name B&M pros.Most people in these fields cant afford to buy in directly, and in turn are playing over their BR'sThats the whole point of satellites and the reaon there are 8,000 plus in the main event...and WPT events average over 500. thanks guys...here was my thought process.He was raising and reraising a lot preflop...basically with any ace. these responses might differ from most, but is way I would play hand....hand 1 - he is comitting half stack out of position, so he is strong but wants to take control of the hand. we can assume regardless of flop he is prob pushing his remaining 1500 in if we call. With the 300 from the blinds, 600 from the raise, and the 1500 from the sb. there is 2400 in the pot. it only costs us 900 more to call, which is almost 3 to 1. we will hit flop approx that often with overs, so factoring that in with the dead money and fact that he is prob pushing chips in after flop, I would call. double shooutout to WSOP $650. wihtout knowing too much about any of you who have have posted, I would assume you are playing to tight and are getting away from too many + Ev situations.I tend to be LAG, gamble early and try to either bust and play next tourney, or get a somehwat big stack together, so I can bully.When blinds are cheap, play as many cheap flops as possible, esp from position. calling large turn bets when I think I have the best holding and letting the player outdraw me on river instead of ending hand on turn.I have gotten much better recently, hence my improved results, but sometimes still fall into bad habit..........
