  1. Hardrock in Hollywood spreads a 5/10 NL game with a $100 max buy-in. Players will get around the buy-in cap by dumping chips to each other back and forth until they each have $1 to $2k in front of them.
  2. Nah, with a 100lb German Shepherd in his car, he could pretty much have said anything he wanted to the dude and gotten away with it.
  3. Can you really be 100% certain he didn't look at his cards? He could have looked while your were looking at your own cards or grabbing chips to raise with. There is also a way to look at your cards as you're pulling them from the spot where the dealer pitched them without people being able to tell unless they are really watching you.
  4. Check out Rock of Love on VH1 - copy of Flavor of Love, except starring Brett Michaels from Poison. Saw the first episode last night and it's even more of a train wreck then I Love New York.
  5. Lol, wonder how many people were like me and immediately thought KFL before even opening the post.
  6. I'm going to be there next week as well. What is the starting time for the deep stack tourneys?
  7. Best place for tourneys in S. Florida is at the old Seminole place just south on 441 from the Hardrock.
  8. Actually, he had QQ and they held up which just led me to start second guessing myself as I walked away from the table. But good guess at the point of my post, your reading skills rival Tiffany Williamson.
  9. Just making sure I played this right: late in a multi-table b/m nlhe tourney (16 players left - top 11 play (135 players total)). Blinds are at 1k 2k with 100 ante, and this is the last hand before blinds go up to 2k/4k(blinds go up every 30 mins). We're 8 handed and I am in early position with AsKh (sitting with approx. 30k in chips, just below average). I raise to 8k - table folds to sb who has been very LA (I've doubled up through him twice with AA and KK but he is still sitting with about 65k in chips). He goes all in. My read on him is he does not have AA or KK, and so it would cost
  10. Tournament you can't do this, cash game you usually can unless the house rules say otherwise.
  11. Joanna Krupa hands down.http://www.joannakrupa.com/joannakrupa/PhotoGallery.html
  12. Easy fold for me on the 1st hand of a ds tourney. Later stages of a tourney, it becomes an easy call for me. Didn't TJ Cloutier once say the only acceptable hand to go broke on preflop early in a big tourney is AA? Cash game, it's an easy call, tournament easy fold. More to poker than just math.http://www.cardplayer.com/magazine/article/15462http://www.bluffmagazine.com/magazine/2005_11_96.asp
  13. I was in Vegas from June 25-June 30, and would recommend the Venetian poker room. Nice room, pretty loose players, and they had some of the better looking waitresses (along with nice outfits). The MGM room is very nice, and they have the best sport's book that I saw. I also played at Harrah's (okay, but not much variety for games), Excaliber (not a good room, though pretty bad players), and Luxor (just because that's where we were staying, but the room is awful).
