  2. I don't know if this is a serious Q but since I've seen you replying to posts - I'd say -If you are trying to rep a big pair, flat calling in the blind will allow UTG to call as well so you will be taking a flop "repping" a big pair OOP against two opponents who have already shown strength, making a bluff attempt less believable. Also, if UTG has a real solid hand, you would have to be worried about a reraise when action gets back to him and then you'd be forced to fold giving up $28 for nothing. You say they are super tight and showing premium hands then this move is about as bad as it gets I

  4. Your a favorite over any pair QQ or lower.
  5. Yes, I think standard. MP1 is an idiot calling a 600 blind with only 1640 stack.Your not going to find much of a better spot to gamble I think, and if they fold around you still pick up a good pot for your stack, - shove those virtual chips in Hellmuth style.
  6. I don't think flat call here is an option, UTG is committing 1/3 of his stack on a preflop raise so unless he was a total donk and check a missed flop, I would guess he was going shove any flop. If you had a deeper stack is when I would flat call this and hope to flop a piece and gamble. I think options are either fold or shove. 12ish big blinds is not much to work with but you are behind the button and have time to find a better spot. If this tourney was only a few dollars I'd just push - Micro stakes tournies around the first hour AQ is a monster - just my experience, lots of fishies w
  7. I would call with position here also so I don't mind the preflop action unless you have seen BB to be pretty solid player.I could see BB playing a set of TT here this way if he put you on a big ace and hoping some bizarre river overbert would get paid off. Same thing with a rivered JJ. I see that move with micro limits pretty often. You beat KK, QQ, 99, AK, AQ, which he also could be raising with out of blinds and trying an overbet to force you off your hand.As played, I call the river, you are beat by very few hands.

  10. Been hearing a lot about this topic lately so,Anybody know of any good game theory sources/books that are worth looking into, and are they that helpful?
  11. Trying to play some more omaha these days but havn't found my groove just yet. 12. I started off very similar to you but starting to play around when the poker boom took off. I played play money sit & go tournies on stars until I built a big enough bankroll to cash in for real dollars. I continued playing micro stakes NL because I was always looking for those double up hands everyone loves. I didn't like limit poker either for that reason. Somewhere along the line I got a real desire to better my game and started reading up and researching and found the majority of professional players make their living at limit poker. I've been playing it for a few months now and a
  13. You could try a betting cap of X amount of blinds for the hand which would add an interesting twist to tourney strategy.A pot limit tourney would help them last a little longer.
  14. Complete the bet and take a flop. I don't really see a reason to raise with marginal hand OOP against the field. Getting too good of odds to think about folding pre.
  15. True money went in good but,Would'nt you call with the AA in that position?
  16. I raise pre flop to around $25. Two raises preceeding you at least one would probably call and you'd have position. I just don't think slow playing KK against two early position raisers is a good idea. If you think he's steaming from previous hand definitely raise pre and hope he plays back at you.
  17. Bet a little more on flop 1500 or so then around 3k for turn. If hand goes to river I'd push.Just what I'd do.
  18. The only difference between your play and c/r flop is one small bet your saving if your beat. C/r flop and lead turn is 4 bets with action to him. C/c and lead turn is only 3 bets, you see more of the hand for cheaper and given your bottom pair in the hand I like your play better. Turn bet still puts pressure on him if he was only continuation betting but you lose less money on the hand if he had a solid hand.
  19. The only real difference between your play and c/r flop is saving one small bet. C/r flop and lead turn is 4 bets while c/c flop and lead turn is only 3. I think your play is better in this situation given your hand being bottom pair against a probable late position stealer because you get to see that turn card for cheaper which would be better for you if he has a real hand.Whoops, sorry double post
  20. I say lead the turn instead of c/r because it gives him chance to raise and help you define the hand. If he does raise turn go for c/c on river. If you go for c/r and are 3 bet on turn and are behind you lose that extra bet on the hand. You are either way ahead or way behind on turn. A turn bet helps to better define the hand for river decision.
  21. First book I ever read was Hellmuth's. Read a good handful of other books also. Have not read Harringtons but everyone says they are a must have. Trying to play more limit these days and just finished Low Limit Hold'em by Lee Jones. Would anyone recommend any other really good limit books or just better than Low Limit?
  22. What is the single best poker book you've read that has helped out your game?
  23. All in on turn looks fine to me. J or 2 for straight and nut flush draw with overpair is about as good as it gets.
  24. Your biggest stack at the table with rougly 30 bets compared to his stack of about 22. If you think it's a straight steal attempt then I'd flat call and c/r all in on flop. Otherwise, I think its gambling time and lead flop for a little over half then its read dependent if he shoves. I'd probably call a shove.
