  1. I don't normally play at bet365' date=' but they suckered me in with very generous bonuses. I have been playing online for a long' date=' long time and bet365 is by far the tighest and toughest small limit games I have ever played.[/quote'']Even without the reads, if the site has tough games, you might consider folding this because you are likely up against a decent player. Also get the hell out there as soon as you clear the bonus if not before. The bonus alone works out to about $15/hr ($10 per 50 raked hands.) There is no $1-$2 so tough that I'm leaving that bonus on the table.THat's a si
  2. This is probably poor advice for most, but join a fantasy hockey / basketball league and check box scores between hands... great way to pass the time between hands. Or make notes on players that you see make crazy (good / bad) plays... yeah that's probably much better advice, if less enjoyable!
  3. And they did it again in a great game... go Flames go!! Two big wins they needed in their own barn. Now if only Centre Ice didn't black out the game on Rogers Sportsnet... sigh. Oh well.
  4. All this 3,000,000,000 hand and free roll excitement got me thinking.Man I'm stubborn... I haven't played at PP in over a year, (took a break to bonus-hore and study) and I'm ready to go back. Thing is, I'd like to wait until my old account expires or is deleted so I am eligible for PSO bonuses and what not. Anyways, so, does anyone know if Party deletes accounts with no activity after a calendar year? Anyone had an account expire and open another one (same email / name and stuff)?Or if anyone has advice as to the best way to rejoin, it's more than welcome.
  5. Yeah, very few good teams at home this weekend... and I definitely agree about picking teams on the road... to be avoided if at all possible. I see at least one I home time I like, so should be good to go. This is definitely where the pool starts getting interesting.
  6. I need to post more... then again if our office didn't have 3 foot cubicle walls, it'd be a little easier!I don't really have any specialty areas per se, preferring to play many games on many sites. Variety is the spice of life... even if it does cut down on pure win rate from specializing. This forum has definitely helped both my understanding and enjoyment of poker, and Steve is right, I should be giving something back.
  7. Just a note, the best way to practice is to count the pot whenever you fold, as well as when you're in the hand to get the hang of it. I did this for a few sessions in a row, and now when I'm in a hand it's much much easier, and almost second nature.
  8. Very nice work Aseem, I just cleared out of Pacific to go clear some more PSO bonuses (I want to buy the new Robert Jordan book and use Amazon GCs' from PSO), but I'll be back in a few weeks, and will definitely try the skin out to see if it improves my decision making.Cheers
  9. Thanks for the good luck, Tampa just scored! 3-2 late in third...
  10. Sweating this one along with many others... 2-2 after 2...
  11. You can add me to that list on 2/4 at pacific... past three nights down 80 BB.... flopped flushes losing to runner-runner full house, flopped straight to a four flush, etc, etc... seems nothing is holding up lately and I'm expecting to lose by the river. Not a good week at all. blech.Oh well, weekend is coming, no need moaning for too long.
  12. I already play in a weekly game with friends, but I need to improve my NL game as people have caught up to me. I'd definitely be interested and live around King & Bathurst.
  13. Well my Flames came through and won with 30 seconds left eliminating someone else. So I think we lost 7 overall this week, so 61 left. Damn Vancouver almost gave me a heart attack, giving up 3 goals late... Anyways, starting to get goot...
  14. I thought about it... but then realized I wanted to save my Nashville pick for an easier opponent. And they're due for a loss .. hehe... ok, knocking on wood, let's go Canucks tomorrow night! Lay those demons to rest Bertuzzi.
  15. Perhaps they rigged the WSOP so that Matusow would go deep and they'd get good footage of all Poker's characters.(sw)You're right, very fortunate on their part, although I do enjoy Luske, and can't wait til the episode's air in Canada.
  16. Play at Pacific... very loose games, and the PSO bonus clears so fast! In fact the initial deposit bonus is credited to your account so you can use it right away... however, you have to Wager like 20* the amount of the bonus, but even still it clears pretty fast. ONly downside is the usual Pacific arguments, can only play one table, bad software, blah blah blah... It's worth it.Edit: I mean signup for the PSO pacific bonus, not just play.
  17. so you got some last night?i got some empire poker rakeback from jayson weber, does that count?are you still playing on empire at this point?Yeah I've stopped, and I want to transfer my money over to PartyPoker, but want to get whatever rakeback I earned first.
  18. so you got some last night? i got some empire poker rakeback from jayson weber, does that count? J-Web - any word on my rakeback?? I know I'm a high roller and all with my 100$ in rakeback and all, but I'd love to buy the new Robert Jordan book with it!
  19. Maybe they'll rest Khabibulin after playing the extra 5 minutes!
  20. Another one of my leaks. What exactly should I look for in table selection?..and I'm assuming Poker Tracker is a must? It's not a must, as if you sit at a table long enough you can figure out if it's juisy or not, BUT it does speed up the process and make it a lot more easier. (So on second thought - yeah it's a must)
  21. I was break even last year, this year I'm earning about 3.5 BB/hour at 2/4. The difference - reading SSHE about 4 times, going over hand histories and analysis here, learning not to fritter money away playing tournaments I had little ev in (i.e. PP Million & Qualifiers), and learning a little thing called table selection.
  22. I played 2 tables for 3 hours last night, and never won as many blinds in a session... so TAG it's not even funny (on 2/4). Average VP$P was around 18%, PFR 8%... I think I only saw two people with a VP$P over 30% the entire time. So I'm looking for another place to deposit to as well... probably go back to Party.
  23. May 7, 1978 - 27 and approaching the Carlsberg years... Not to thread hijack, but anyone listen Edge and Dean Blundell show (toronto)- they're having a Cougar hunt... pretty funny stuff.
