  1. I don't think you can just fold straight away on the flop. SB betting out is the best situation that could have happened. You can get your raise in and see where you are. Once it's 3-bet coming back I'll peel one off then check-fold the turn UI.
  2. $1-$2 Limit Hold'em Full Ring game at Absolute.MP is 47.3/4.8/0.96 over 188 hands.I'm in the BB with T:diamond: T:heart:Preflop:MP limps, SB completes, I raise, both call.Flop (3 players, 6 sb): Q:spade: Q:heart: Q:diamond:SB checks, I bet, MP calls, SB folds.Turn (2 players, 4 bb): Q:spade: Q:heart: Q:diamond: 8:club:I bet, MP calls.River (2 players, 6 bb): Q:spade: Q:heart: Q:diamond: 8:club: 5:club:I bet, MP raises.Do I 3-bet or call?
  3. Yes, typo.Oh I know WA/WB doesn't apply, but I didn't want to fold on the turn and I didn't want to get check-raised. I had to justify it somehow :)Looking back now I think it is a clear bet, and a clear call-down-if-raised, though some people will probably argue the second part. I think it is just far too likely someone could bluff CR the turn for me to fold. Maybe if another bad card hits the river and he STILL wants to bet out I can fold. On a safe river I think I gotta call though.
  4. I checked through the turn like a pansy with some kind of WA/WB logic that didn' t make sense to me 2 seconds after I clicked the check button. It's hard to justify what you were thinking at the time. Anyway I gave the free card, the river was a T, and AT beat me. What a brutal way for me to play the turn. And I agree, in retrospect maybe it would have been a good idea to 3-bet pre-flop to get it heads up.
  5. $1-$2 Full Limit Hold'em at AbsoluteI am UTG with 9:diamond: 9:heart:I limp, 4 folds, button limps, SB raises, BB folds, I call, button calls.7 SB (3 players) Flop: 7:diamond: 2:heart: Q:club:SB bets, I raise, button folds, SB calls.10.5 BB (2 players) Turn: 7:diamond: 2:heart: Q:club: Q:spade:SB checks.--What do you think is the best line for the rest of this hand?
  6. I don't think I would ever open call from the CO.
  7. You could be losing more by not making all your value bets than the "bad" players are losing by calling you with weak hands.
  8. You open raise with AA from MP. The strong player immediately to your left 3-bets. It gets folded back to you. Should you cap it?Why would or wouldn't you?
  9. What do you think about this?I'm in the CO with K:heart: K:spade:.MP3 (just to my right) open raises, I make it 3, it's folded back to him and he calls. I have no read on MP3 yet.Flop: A:spade: A:diamond: 7:club:MP3 bets, I raise, he calls.Turn: A:spade: A:diamond: 7:club: 6:heart:MP3 checks, I check.River: A:spade: A:diamond: 7:club: 6:heart: 9:club:MP3 bets, I call.
  10. I think you'll be ahead of a three tens way often enough to 3-bet this.
  11. I think you have to cap this flop then call down if he doesn't slow down. I think his most likely hand when he 3-bets is a pair of tens with a good kicker.
  12. I think the fact that there are 4 folders ahead of MP3 makes it close, and though I think you are probably ahead of CO's KQs or whatever, I'd say laying it down is the right move. If you stay in you pretty much have to show down and I don't think you'll win enough.
  13. Are you planning to follow up with a bet on the river if he calls and you don't improve. You sure aren't going to win the pot showing down 9-high.
  14. He's not really trying to make his draw. He's running a semi-bluff trying to push his tight opponent off the hand. If he happens to get called it doesn't hurt that he has outs. I don't think the number of outs is really the main issue here. (I'm not saying I agree with this play.)
