  1. The reason is because it doesn't make any sense. Why would someone hack into an account and then win a few sitngos, and then lose only $90 in cash games. The point of hacking an account would be to steal the money! Not to sit online and play for eight hours in the middle of the night. Was there a withdrawl or anything like that? Have you considered what the others said, that you logged on at a friends house, and then the next time that friend tried to log on your info was still filled in and they didn't realize it? That seems the most reasonable to me..
  2. With most people, if you hang around them long enough you are bound to find out they are morons. The problem isn't that dealers are idiots, it's that people are idiots and dealers are people.
  3. Sorry if I sould like an idiot but what exactly does this mean? I heard a guy waiting for 40/80 the other day tell the floor that he wouldn't play 10/20 because he wanted a game where you could at least beat the rake.
  4. Wait 'til you get to 10/20, one pot will buy you an iPod.. Seriously though, if you are trying to build a bankroll, why take the money out?
  5. That's your first problem -- schedule cutting into poker is -EV.
  6. So if I'm reading correctly, most of the Vegas card rooms offer limits around 4/8 at the most? If I am interested in 10/20 or so it is basicly Bellagio or Wynn?
  7. Let me read Daniel's section in SS2 real quick and then I'm in. Also can you transfer a buck or two to my UB account? I just don't feel like making a deposit.
  8. Don't get caught up in the action and start playing too loose. Solid play is the key even though you are going to see everyone else playing like retards. Also don't tilt -- you are bound to take a beat or two, don't let it ruin your game. As an extension of that, don't overplay your strong starting hands (pocket pairs, etc.) if it seems like you might be beat. Save bets in those situations by slowing down and accepting the fact that people might draw out on you. I usually see someone who is upset because they just can't believe they were beaten by whatever random garbage hand. You have to adap
  9. I won't say that she is amazing or anything, but guys come on! I bet the majority of posters here are very single poker nerds who spend most of their time at home sitting in front of a computer. That's sure the case for me at least. This woman is definately decent looking enough to give some attention to if I ever happened to run into her. And in live poker, considering you are usually in a room with 100 other guys and about 2 girls, someone like her would definately be welcome at my table. You guys are just jaded from too much porn and airbrushed Maxim girls..
  10. Everyone likes suited connectors, but on the straight side of it, what makes connectors any better than gapped cards up to 3 apart? Seems like you could flop a straight/straight draw equally as often with any of them. I suppose with a 3-gap you might be more likely to make gutshots as opposed to open-ended, but does anyone have any real data about this?
  11. The new ones are kind of ridiculous but they are still funny.
  12. This is Trump in Gary? Do you know when they raised the time? I thought it was only $6, I don't usually play there though.
  13. Last night I dreamt that I was playing poker, and the dealer kept mucking my hand which was the winner and there was nothing I could do about it. Also like a month ago I dreamt that I was playing, and each time I got up from the table I came back to my stack being way lower like someone was stealing my chips..It's annoying because I wake up in this rage about poker until I realize that I'm dreaming and mellow out a little.. Anyone else have anything like this?
  14. I think this topic started out as a comment on bankroll requirements.. How many of you don't have a "regular" job, and are playing full time to make a living (and actually have bills to pay, not live at home)? That is the kind of person that money management is important to, because they are depending on it. Now if you want to handle your poker hobby professionally, there is nothing at all wrong with that, but there is also nothing wrong with a person playing a bigger game or just taking the extra $500 they made this month, playing with it, and seeing what happens. As far as more players being
  15. I couldn't read all the replies, but if you don't like catching a hard time from the other players like that then just play exactly as they want you to. It should make it easier for them to win and then they will like you more. *shrug*
