David_Sklansky 1,903
Never sports bet in my life. If I hadn't found sports betting, I'd be chained to a pole in a bathhouse someplace right now.

David_Sklansky 1,903
To be fair, if the ability to drive a fence posts has any effect on your life, you should probably cash it all out anyway and pray to Vishnu that you get to start over as a city rat.

hank213 1,823
concern yourself not on my account fair ronald. for this eve, i shall be partaking of fine scotch and a thick steak. then i shall proceed to find cam whores weeping, tip them, and berate them as one would an animal if they dare stop crying before i have spilled my seed upon my steak and scotch engorged belly.

Ron_Mexico 4,219
Delightful You haven't eaten yet? It's so late Have you actually done the camwhore thing? Seems moderately interesting for a few bucks here or there. Nothing too crazy though. Also concerning my oldness. I'd like to watch the fight tonight but neither have the urge to drop $70, to go anywhere or to be up at 1:15am

I'd like to watch the fight tonight but neither have the urge to drop $70, to go anywhere or to be up at 1:15am You can usually find a pirated stream. Brvy might have a hookup on that kind of thing in that thread about streaming media that's stickied in the media forum. Cam thing isn't my thing sexually, but it's fun and hysterical if you get the right girl on the right night. I've see college girls who just ignore the room and sit there doing homework, which is standard and great. But my favorite was this girl who has baby paraphernalia laying around her apartment. Someone told her she should have her kid taken away for performing a sex show with him there, and she tried to play it cool. But slowly she cracked. She cried and said it was a mean thing to say. The room turned on him and he was booted. Then she said the baby wasn't even there anyway, but within 5 seconding hysterical baby crying started echoing in from the next room, which promptly put an end to the broadcast. Tiltinagain 973
Come on, have a little self awareness. You all but said their music is shit and for them to get off of your lawn. Every older generation has said what you just did about the younger generations since the beginning of time If you can't see the difference, go read Amscray's post again. If this generation is debilitatingly lazy and entitled and such, almost to a man, doesn't that suggest that the generation before are the most epic ****-ups in the history of parenting? Yes. hank213 1,823
forgot to answer one yeah i've played around with cam whores. it's often amusing. my favorite is tracking a girl that starts off as a "non nude" model expecting to make thousands of dollars a week for flashing her bra. then one of two things happen and its usually the latter. either the one shred of sense she has kicks in and she disappears or, and this is my favorite to witness, over time she gets increasingly less prudish and before too long she is doing things like making custom piss videos and shoving huge objects in various holes for nickels.

Ron_Mexico 4,219
If you can't see the difference, go read Amscray's post again. Wasn't sure what I was missing so I did go back and read it again. He made some edits and added a paragraph. I still disagree to a degree. There are plenty of kids that can do all of those things he cited. There are still parents teaching those things. By his premise, doesn't that make you fall into the category of bad parent if your kids can't do those things. Not that I think that's correct. I do tend to agree that things have changed, some good, some bad. I got hit and beat as a kid. Do some kids need a smack? Probably, but that doesn't make it right to smack and belt kids. So, kids need to "toughen up"? How does that happen? What makes that plan work?

hank213 1,823
no offense, but I really wonder if we (in a societal, civilization sense), are really better off taking parenting advice from a convicted felon.

If kids today were tougher, they could strengthen the unions and get back all those well-paid, monkey-simple manufacturing jobs their parents had but allowed to be outsourced to Asian slavery. Or they could stand up to the politicians and live beyond their means collectively as a generation by going into unimaginable national debt.

So, kids need to "toughen up"? How does that happen? What makes that plan work? Not sure how smacking your kids got into the conversation.... The generation we're talking about have been raised completely different than previous generations. Parents changed their thinking to an all positive all the time model. Don't keep score in little league because we don't want one team to feel like failures for example. No negativity. All they hear is how great they are, how great all their ideas are etc... I've talked about this before. I notice it because most of my employees are 20 somethings. The first time you tell them something less than how wonderful they are they fall apart. I had a guy in his mid 20's come to me the other day because his store manager had "cut his hours" (his hours were 2.5 less than the week before) He says "I wanted to let you know that when I saw my schedule and my hours had but cut that it made me very sad". Almost 20 years I have managed people and I have never once had a male employee interject emotion into a conversation like that. Just a small example of what I'm talking about. iTommyGavin81 288
I don't know which generation I'm a part of so I'm not sure if I should be defending the lazies or piling on to the lazies. I bought some bomb-ass framed old school firefighter portraits at an estate sale. Right to the living room wall they went. If I still lived with a woman I would've gotten the, "oh those are nice, they'll go good in your man-cave." My whole house is a man-cave. Winner?

I thought in was talking about my own generation, but my graduating class is starting to push 30 and seem to all have money now, so maybe we've moved on to hating the next rung down? Has history vindicated 3 Doors Down yet? Also, I have an archery range in my house, and the only pushback I've gotten about it is, "don't shoot the good cat"
iTommyGavin81 288
Yeah I'm 33, I consider myself in the 20something generation, but I didn't have a cell phone or use the internet til I was 18 so I'm torn. Either way, I agree with mexi-melts sentiment that every generation says the next one is the worst ever. Technology making life easier probably has something to do with it. And I haven't gambled on basketball in a few years and have no rooting interest in GSW-LAC. So I'll leave it to dutchie to give me a team to root for in this game 7. Hopefully it will be a better game than the first 2. I peed myself a little watching HOU-POR last night.
