Oh and if by chance you somehow read this, could you please tell us, if you know any details, how Chau Giang got such a huge stack. Not sure the size of this pot, but sounds as if it swung a good deal of chips Chau's way...Chau Giang raised the bet pre-flop from late position and was re-raised by Paul Phillips. Giang called the re-raise of 25% of Phillips stack and the flop came [A][K][10]. Giang checked to Phillips who pushed in. Giang called turning up [Q][J] for the nuts. Phillips showed [A][J]. The turn and river were no help to Phillips who was eliminated.
Al Smooth 0
To all those who are wondering...which probably totals Zero...I also made it through Day 1! My chip stack is at 31,625 and I'm hoping to make some sort of move through the first two blind levels (400-800 and 500-1000) . Anyway, it was a fun day, got to play with DN a little after they broke his table back in the poker room and sent him over to the Fontana room where my table was. He had a good run of it at our table, increasing his chip stack by abuot 50% in the one level he was sitting there. I hope that the two of us both can continue to play well and dodge bad cards...nothing would make me happier than to be heads up with DN on Friday...long way off, I know, but hey, a brother can dream CAN'T HE???!!!
