And the persons that owns the site dosen't like to play online!Don't get me wrong Daniel I love your playing style. You are fun to watch.I used to wait for you to post here saying " table(whatever) 500/1000" going to put in a few hrs. Why not just sit and play some low limit to interact with the players and fan's.If you said you were going to sit at some .50/1.00 for a while I would deposit some on FCP just for a shot at saying I played against Daniel Negreanu.for ex: FT poker the pro's are always playing online alot of them play low limits just to promote the site and chat with the fan's.I bet ya 90% of the players sitting at the low limit tables with the pro's are there to have fun and making money is secondary.I cannot be the only one that thinks this.Do you realize if you were to go into any poker room and sit at say a 5/10 NL a play a few hrs. how many fans you would make. As long as you didn't take all their money! I know it might be boring for you but it dosen't always have to be about "you" I am not in any way saying you are not generous because you are generous. I've played low limit PLO, low limit NL, the weekly Neg-O and a HU SNG with Daniel. I'm also going to play a tournament of Champions with him when it gets scheduled. IMHO the DOJ and US governement has been going for the sites/operators that support sports betting or casino games. It's got to break his heart, he's put SO much into this effort (and everyone else behind the scenes have worked so very hard) to get it right. The sick sick thing is what's now happening has come about not from the fans not wanting to play, but from all the political changes. For Daniel it's gotta just kill him to watch this, sorta like a Mom and Pop who go out on a limb to start up something they love, put everything they have into it...only to have to sit back and watch as forces outside their control slowly eat away at it.And sure, this was all about making a buck too. Who they heck can deny him that? But there is NO ONE who is better to his fans than Daniel. He has ALWAYS made time. And back in the On Game days he was here A LOT, playing, starting the HU League, Several Nego participations, contests to go to Vegas and hang out with him, heart felt special interactions for charities and for those in special need...hardly a week went by without him being involved in some way in the poker room. It killed me to do it, but I pulled all my money off all the sites a few months back when all hell broke loose, and now it's just too big a pain in the *** the get it back on. And that is really bittersweet for me. I do feel a loyalty to FCP. I owe so much to Daniel and this site. His hospitality, his generosity, this forum and FCP poker room, meeting all the great folks here which ultimately led to groups that made a huge difference in my game. I am ten times the player I was 2 years ago and hanging out here had a lot to do with that.I can only hope and pray that this on line poker issue get worked out in the near future and we can get back to FCP's poker glory days. Granted a lot of pokes sites have shut down, but most of those players didn't quit altogether. Instead they decided to move to Full Tilt and Stars, which both quite frankly have better software and tourney structures. Since the law crap he might need to do more to try and get people playing again. I'm not sure how easy this would be with all the legal stuff and such.As for what he has done for the FCP "community" and regular posters here is more that any other site BY far!As he said in his recent blog more or less he needs some sort of push or challenge!Turning into a tournament junkie lately!Perhaps to get ready for the WSOP grind!Needs to get the fire back like the beginning of jan. when he was ready to take the poker world by storm !GET MOTIVATED Link to post Share on other sites

iveyfan30 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Share Posted February 22, 2007 i can understand where dn is coming from . i have been on this site along time and remeber when it was 1/4 the size that it is now.i liked it alot better than, like all good things, ppl find out about it and flock there. is the forum as fun? no. but in the off topis area alot of the posters i like hang out there. dn still blogs and that is cool, i appreciate the insight he gives us even tho he doesnt have to. thats because hes a generous person. hes even had ppl come out to vegas and hang out with him from this forum. thats because hes a generous person..so imho hes doing ok by his fans.. I hear what he's sayin and that he's not baggin on DN. It's just that all this blog stuff, and now this post... got me thinkin about it all and how it was back in the day.
