Here we go Daniel!Day One is About to BeginFriday, January 26, 2007 08:33 AM PST By the time this thing is over, my brain is going to be sauce. Last night, in Tunica, Mississippi, records were set when all six players survived ninety-three hands before the first elimination. In the end, young Bryan Sumner was our winner, but that was then; this is now.Now is the time for the Borgata Winter Poker Open. Amongst the final table finishers in Tunica were Daniel Negreanu, JC Tran and Kido Pham. They got on a chartered plane at midnight so they could ensure a continuation of their poker marathon. We'll be watching them for fatigue throughout the day.Over 500 players have shown up here in Atlantic City, more than a few of them recognizable for televised poker exploits. Held in the beautiful Borgata Casino Hotel, poker's finest are being treated like kings living in a stress-free world. All they have to focus on now is the poker.Sit back, relax and let your burnt out narraor take care of all your poker needs. I may not be able to arrange that needed spade on the river or stop your opponents from hitting them, but I'm all over the other stuff. Enjoy the tournament.Who's Where?Friday, January 26, 2007 09:05 AM PST OK, I definitely didn't get everyone. The room is huge and the pros are still filtering in after flights and nights of debauchery. Still, there are a few fun pairings that we'll keep a closer eye on:- Phil Ivey, the local legend, is sitting two seats to the left of Bill Chen. Ralph Perry is sitting with them also.- Bahamas runner-up Isaac Haxton will have his hands full with Amir Vahedi- Barry Greenstein's toughest competition should come from Justin Marsh- Shannon Shorr is sitting with David Matthew- Reigning world champion Jamie Gold, who has reportedly just lost his sponsorship deal, will be looking to prove himself here. He's sitting with Mark Newhouse, who's fresh off a prop bet I'll tell you about later on.- Chad Brown, Bluff Magazine's Player of the Year, is sitting with Captain Tom Franklin, Alan Sass and Ed Jordan.- Gavin Smith showed up late for his date with Vanessa Rousso- Erik Seidel is sitting with Bau Le, James Van Alstyne and Robert Mizrachi Bold ClaimsFriday, January 26, 2007 09:15 AM PST Gavin Smith, who is sitting at the same table as Vanessa Russo and Chris Reslock, claims that he will bust them both. Who's Where, part IIFriday, January 26, 2007 09:33 AM PST OK, a few more inter sting tables have come up:- Chau Giang is sitting two seats to the right of Erick Lindgren I haven't seen them talk, but that's likely as much because of Chau's silent table demeanor as anything.- Michael Binger is sitting with Scott Fischman and David Daneshgar- Scotty Nguyen is sitting with Jon Friedberg and Bernard Lee.- Ted Forrest is sitting with David Redlin and Laura Fink. Laura has recently had strong finishes at the Caribbean Poker Adventure and Five Diamond Classic.- Joe Pelton is across the table from Joe Sebok One more table...Friday, January 26, 2007 09:39 AM PST Can't believe I almost forgot this; Men 'The Master' Nguyen is sitting to John Pham's left and two seats to Tuan Le's right. Those are three of the best and best known Vietnamese players on the planet. When I passed the table, Tuan looked determined, John looked tired and Men looked pissed. The three all get along, but I don't think any of them want to be sitting with one another.

More News, More NotesFriday, January 26, 2007 10:36 AM PST - Gavin Smith has sworn to take out both Chris Reslock and Vanessa Rousso, but it's going to be tough. They both have him outchipped right now, and their table also includes Tommy Huoang and John Little.- The official number of entrants is actually 569 players, with over $1.6 million for the winner.- One nasty table I missed earlier includes David Singer, Raul Paez, Brad Booth and Kevin Saul. Saul may be better known to some of you as Belowabove, the name under which he's become known as one of the best online tournament player in the world.- The young Joe's, Pelton and Sebok, have been joined by another young Joe in Joe Cassidy. Also at their table is European Poker Hall of Famer and WPT champion Surinder Sunar.- WPT World Champion Joe Bartholdi is sitting with Jason Strasser

Good morning everyone. I'm getting ready to head downstairs now. If someone is going to be there I need a favor. There is a store called the Wee or something here that sells an I-POD charger. I left mine in Tunica.
Would that be worth making a new thread about so more people see it?
