CaneBrain 95
As soon as they actually pulled off a hook and ladder (splendiferous!) I immediately pressed the record button on my controller. What a great freaking game.
myenemy 0
I believe it's being replayed on ESPN Classic.Instant Classic!!! I haven't been that excited watching a football game since I was playing in one. This is what makes the bowl system great.
fryer98 30
Top 3 plays from yesterday:1) The hook and ladder by BSU.2) The WVU linemen playing dead.3) The statue to win it by BSU.
Jadaki 0
This is what makes the bowl system great. What??? One really good game out of 40, I'll have to disagree. Playoff system = Boise State having a shot at a national title, which is way better than a bowl win.

Playoff system = Boise State having a shot at a national title, which is way better than a bowl win.haha, that reminded me after the game when they asked Z-what's-his-name-sky the QB if they should get a shot at OSU and he said they went 13-0 and they deserve a chance at the national title. Then 2 minutes later, they asked Johnson and he said "We're not going to go and say that..." and about winning the bowl is what they wanted, etc. Oops...
Actuary 3
playoffs are not a good way to get the best team crowned. They do at least settle it on the field, though.
Jadaki 0
playoffs are not a good way to get the best team crowned. They do at least settle it on the field, though. So voting for the best team is better?
missIdaho 1
it was simply awesome. we are all walking around with big dopey grins today. our boys have made us proud.
Actuary 3
So voting for the best team is better?nah, it's flawed, of course,.Just saying playoffs usually don't result in the best team on top a majority of the time.some years, you may argue 5 teams shuld get a shot.Other years 3, sometimes 8...One yr, the 7th best team will get hot.I look at all 11 games as playoffs, with the potential of knocking a team out of contention.Human bias and simple inability to account for everything makes voting/computers imperfect too.But if our goal is to crown the best team #1, playoffs don't get us there any better than voitng and getting two teams into the finals.Maybe Top 4 playoff. Anymore than that and we're going to have a certainly-not-the-best-team getting lucky.
Jadaki 0
Maybe Top 4 playoff. Anymore than that and we're going to have a certainly-not-the-best-team getting lucky.Id rather see it decided in a playoff. Some people might say BS got lucky last night, but if they did that the next two weeks against two more top 8 teams then I would hardly call it luck. greatwhite 0
Thais was the best last few minutes of a game that I've ever seen. That hook and ladder was also the best I've ever seen. If Boise State wants to keep Petersen they will probably need to dig into their pockets.
pezeveng 207
Boise may have the best record yet may not finish in the top 5. How can anyone like the bowl system. How cool would it be if we had a round 2 with LSU vs Louis and Boise St vs USC than watch the winner of those games face-off than the winner of that play the winner of Flor and O.State. The top 2 schools get byes while the other 8 play twice with the champion of the 8 facing off against the winner of 1vs2. The top 10 schools would have a great playoff and being ranked 1 and 2 is still very important as you get the byes.
Actuary 3
I don't think having the other teams play 2 extra weeks worth is going to fly.
